First identify whether you have the REDMI Note 15 Pro 4G or REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G, then compare that exact regional model’s LTE and 5G bands with your carrier’s bands where you plan to use it. Finish by checking the phone’s IMEI, unlock status and VoLTE eligibility with the carrier. A matching band indicates possible radio access; it does not guarantee coverage, activation or calling features.
Identify the exact Redmi Note 15 Pro variant
“Pro” alone is not enough to determine network compatibility. Xiaomi sells distinct 4G and 5G variants, and the 4G model does not support 5G. Check the full model name on the box, seller listing or manufacturer documentation, and confirm the model code in the phone’s settings or paperwork.

Xiaomi’s Indonesian FAQ describes the REDMI Note 15 Pro 4G as GSM/WCDMA/LTE and lists LTE bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/26/28/38/40/41/66; it explicitly says 5G is not supported (Xiaomi Indonesia). Xiaomi Albania lists the 4G model’s LTE FDD bands as 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/26/28/66 and LTE TDD bands as 38/40/41 (Xiaomi Albania).

The Global Certification Forum records model 25080RABDG as REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G, certified on 7 September 2025. That identifies the model in that record; do not assume every regional version uses the same code (Global Certification Forum).

Check the published bands for the 5G model
Xiaomi’s German and Japanese support FAQs publish the following matching band lists for the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G (Xiaomi Germany; Xiaomi Japan):
- 4G LTE FDD: B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B18, B19, B20, B26, B28, B32, B66.
- 4G LTE TDD: B38, B40, B41, B42, B48.
- 5G NR: n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n77, n78.
Xiaomi Japan separately says the handset supports SA and NSA 5G modes, VoLTE, VoNR and VoWiFi. These are handset capabilities, not confirmation that a carrier provisions each feature on every regional unit (Xiaomi Japan).

Compare the phone with your carrier, step by step
- Record the full variant and model code. Use the device packaging, settings or manufacturer documentation. If it is the 4G-only model, do not use its specifications to assess 5G.
- Find the carrier’s current band information. Use the operator’s official network or bring-your-own-device (BYOD) documentation for the country and service area in question. Bands and coverage can differ by operator and region.
- Compare each generation separately. Match the phone’s LTE bands against the carrier’s LTE bands, and its 5G NR bands against the carrier’s 5G NR bands. Note which bands overlap and which do not. More overlap gives the phone more opportunities to connect, but does not predict reception at a particular location or establish that the carrier will accept it.
- Check the exact IMEI with the carrier. Use its compatibility checker or contact support with the handset’s IMEI and model code. Ask whether that specific device is eligible for the network and services you want. T-Mobile recommends its IMEI compatibility checker and checking device frequencies and VoLTE; it warns that a partially compatible device may have reduced coverage or speeds (T-Mobile network compatibility guidance).
- Ask about calling features and account status. Confirm VoLTE eligibility, and Wi-Fi Calling if you need it. Also verify that the phone is unlocked and is not blocked or blacklisted. Rogers’ BYOD guidance includes compatibility, IMEI blacklist and unlocking checks, and cautions that VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling may not work on every imported device even when its frequencies match (Rogers BYOD guidance).
- Check local coverage and test the service if possible. Consult the carrier’s coverage information for the places you use the phone. If practical, try the SIM or plan before relying on the handset.
What a band match does—and does not—tell you
A shared band means the phone and network have a frequency band in common. That is a useful first compatibility check, not a guarantee of usable service. The network must also be available where you are, the carrier must accept and provision the device, and the phone must meet any service requirements for voice and account use.

Rogers notes that availability varies by frequency and that devices supporting more frequencies across generations can access more of a network’s wireless coverage. It also warns that frequency compatibility alone does not ensure VoLTE or Wi-Fi Calling; some services may not work on imported devices even when the frequencies match (Rogers BYOD guidance).
