Until the POCO model name and regional SKU are confirmed, any head-to-head verdict or price-gap claim would be premature.
What is confirmed about the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G?
Xiaomi India’s specification page lists the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G in three RAM and storage configurations: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB. It specifies a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2772 × 1280) and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. These are India-page specifications; confirm the local model and availability before applying them in another market. Xiaomi India specifications

Is “POCO X8 Power 5G” an official model?
The official material available does not establish that exact model name. POCO’s official X8 page describes a POCO X8 with an 8340mAh typical-capacity battery, 67W charging, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a 50MP OIS main camera, and a 6.83-inch 1.5K display. Those specifications belong to the POCO X8; they are not evidence about an “X8 Power 5G.” POCO X8 specifications
The official UK catalogue shows POCO X8, X8 Pro, and X8 Pro Max models in its X8 range. It does not verify an X8 Power 5G. Substituting one of those phones for the model named in the comparison would produce a different comparison, not resolve the identity question. Xiaomi UK POCO catalogue

Can you trust the reported price difference?
A Smartprix comparison result lists ₹35,999 for “POCO X8 Power 5G” and ₹39,999 for Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus—a nominal ₹4,000 difference in that result. It does not establish the POCO model’s official identity, matching RAM and storage configurations, seller, or whether either price is live. Treat those figures as an unverified listing pair, not a confirmed current price gap or guaranteed saving. Smartprix comparison result

What to verify before comparing or buying
- Confirm the exact POCO model and SKU. Check the product name and model number on the official store or the seller’s listing; do not assume “X8 Power 5G” means POCO X8, X8 Pro, or X8 Pro Max.
- Match the region and configuration. Compare phones sold in the same market and match RAM and storage tiers. Xiaomi India lists three Redmi configurations, so a price comparison should identify which one it uses. Xiaomi India specifications
- Compare like-for-like features. Once the POCO identity is verified, check processor, display, all camera lenses and video modes, battery, charging, durability, and software-update commitments against that model’s official specification page.
- Check the price basis at the same time. Use the same storage tier and market, and confirm the seller and live price for each phone. A comparison page’s lowest-found figures alone do not establish a matched, current offer.
Verdict
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G has a documented India specification sheet, while the exact “POCO X8 Power 5G” identity and its official specifications remain unverified in the official POCO/Xiaomi material cited here. The available price pair is not enough to call either phone cheaper. Confirm the POCO model first; until then, a detailed head-to-head would risk comparing the Redmi with the wrong device.
