There is also a model-identity issue: POCO’s global product page is for the POCO C85 and specifies a Helio G81-Ultra; it does not establish a POCO C85 5G. Xiaomi publishes separate Redmi 15C 4G and Redmi 15C 5G variants. Confirm the network generation and regional model before comparing prices or buying.
First, check whether the POCO C85 is actually a 5G model
The name in the comparison is ambiguous. POCO’s global POCO C85 product page lists a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra and does not identify the phone as 5G. Xiaomi’s regional pages, meanwhile, distinguish the Redmi 15C from the Redmi 15C 5G: Nigeria’s Redmi 15C specifications list the Helio G81-Ultra, while Germany’s Redmi 15C 5G specifications list the Dimensity 6300.

That does not prove a POCO C85 5G SKU is unavailable everywhere. It means the cited global POCO page is not evidence for one. If a local shop lists “POCO C85 5G,” check the exact model identifier and supported local network bands against the manufacturer’s regional specifications before treating it as a 5G phone. Redmi 15C 5G bands also vary by region and operator support.

These are specifications from the named regional or global pages, not a guarantee that every country sells every configuration. In particular, Xiaomi says Redmi 15C configurations vary by region, and Germany’s 5G specifications should not be generalized to other markets.

Among the variants established by the cited pages, Redmi 15C 5G is the clearly documented 5G option: Xiaomi Germany lists a Dimensity 6300 and regional 5G bands. The POCO C85 global page does not establish 5G. If a retailer claims to sell a POCO C85 5G, verify its exact SKU and local band support rather than relying on the listing title.
For everyday specs and storage
The POCO C85 and standard Redmi 15C share the Helio G81-Ultra platform in the cited specifications, plus 6000mAh typical battery capacity and 33W charging. POCO’s page additionally specifies a 6.9-inch display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP AI dual-camera system and IP64 protection. These listed features do not establish a performance winner between the two phones; the available memory and storage configuration, local price and exact variant also matter.

The Redmi 15C 5G uses a different chipset, the Dimensity 6300, so do not treat it as the same hardware comparison as the Helio G81-Ultra Redmi 15C. The German page lists 4GB RAM models with either 128GB or 256GB storage and microSD expansion up to 1TB.

A current, like-for-like price difference cannot be established from the available official price evidence. The products need to be compared in the same country, with the same RAM and storage capacity, for the exact network variant and at the same time. Retailer, taxes, promotions and what comes in the box can also change the amount a buyer actually pays.

For context only, Xiaomi Belgium’s Fan Festival terms list these past campaign prices for March 20–April 1, 2026:

These are expired Belgium campaign figures, not October 2026 quotes, and the listed POCO configuration does not match either Redmi configuration. The terms therefore do not establish a fair, current price gap. Xiaomi’s Czech campaign terms also show that configurations and campaign pricing are market-specific; Czech and Belgian figures should not be combined into a single comparison.

Buying checklist
- Confirm the complete model name and model identifier. Do not assume a listing called “POCO C85 5G” matches the POCO global C85 page.
- Check local network compatibility. For 5G, compare the exact regional bands with those used by your operator; Xiaomi warns that bands and connectivity vary by regional availability and local support.
- Match RAM and storage. A price comparison between different configurations can make one phone look cheaper without comparing equivalent products.
- Check the box contents. POCO states, “No power adapter included in the box,” and recommends a Xiaomi 33W adapter. Confirm the bundle in your market and account for any charger purchase only if needed.
- Use a live local checkout price. Compare the same seller type, date, taxes and promotion conditions rather than relying on expired campaign terms.
