If Realtek Audio Console is missing or will not download, first check whether Microsoft Store itself is unavailable. If the Store works, the app’s availability usually depends on the audio driver and support instructions for your exact PC or motherboard. Download the matching audio package from its manufacturer—not a generic driver bundle—and follow any listed prerequisites.
First check whether Microsoft Store is missing or the Console listing is missing
These are different problems. Search the Start menu for Microsoft Store. If it does not appear, Microsoft says a local-account sign-in may be why the app is not shown; a work-device administrator may also have disabled Store access. Check the account on the PC, and ask the administrator about Store restrictions on a managed device. Microsoft’s guidance for a missing Store app covers these cases.

If Store opens but a search does not find Realtek Audio Console, move on to your computer or motherboard maker’s support page. The Console is tied to the system’s audio driver and OEM delivery instructions, so its availability is not the same on every Windows PC.

- Identify the model. Use the PC’s model information, or the motherboard model for a self-built desktop. Do not choose a download simply because its name contains “Realtek.”
- Confirm your Windows version. On the manufacturer’s official support page, select the exact model and the Windows version installed on it.
- Check the audio downloads and instructions. Look for the Realtek audio driver and any separate Console application package. Follow the manufacturer’s stated order and prerequisites; the app may be delivered through Microsoft Store rather than as a standalone installer.
- Restart if the driver installation calls for it. Then check the manufacturer’s directions or Store listing for the Console.
Microsoft’s general recommendation is to get the latest driver that matches your Windows version from the PC or sound-card manufacturer’s support website. A driver from another model can be incompatible even if it is also made by Realtek.

Why OEM instructions can differ
Manufacturer pages show why there is no universal Realtek Audio Console installer sequence. Dell’s 94H4G package, released on 13 October 2022, lists application version 1.37.275.0, revision A05, for Windows 10 64-bit and Windows 11 on the compatible Dell systems shown on its page. Its package directs users to the Microsoft Store. Those details apply to the systems listed there, not to all PCs.
A different Dell page, 853W9, is an older, model-specific example: it lists application version 1.10.216.0, revision A02, released 29 April 2020, for the Dell G5 15 5590, G7 15 7590 and G7 17 7790 on Windows 10 64-bit. Its instructions require Realtek High Definition Audio Driver version A03 first. Treat that as guidance for the listed machines and package, not as a current requirement for other systems.

ASRock’s technical reference TSDQA-142 says the Console generally downloads in the background after its Realtek audio driver is installed, and identifies ASRock’s website or support CD as driver sources. That guidance dates from around 2019; use current directions for your specific motherboard in preference to a general statement from that document.

If sound output is missing as well as the Console, troubleshoot device detection before treating this as an app-only problem. Microsoft recommends checking Device Manager and installing the correct manufacturer driver.

- Open Device Manager and expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- If the audio device is listed but disabled, enable it.
- If it is not listed, use Device Manager’s option to show hidden devices, then scan for hardware changes.
- If the driver is missing or incompatible, download the Windows-version-specific audio driver for your exact PC or sound card from its manufacturer.
- Restart Windows after installing the driver, then check whether the audio device appears.

Use the right fix for the symptom
