To finish the X-ray puzzle in Silent Hill: Townfall, align the skull and chest separately, enter the matching settings, and scan each one. Then collect both printed films, put them on the board beside the intercom, and select the image requested by the game.
Reach the X-ray room
- In the surgery room, use pager number 7103 at the surgery exit to reach the X-ray room. This sequence is in St. Amelia Medical Center, Part 3, Chapter 7, according to the focused puzzle guide.
- Read the X-Ray Dosage Table on the laptop beside the bed. A chapter walkthrough identifies it as the clue for the scan values: Silent Hill Townfall Walkthrough: All 6 Chapters.
Scan the skull
- Turn on the X-ray computer. Move and zoom the view until “Patient Skull – Aligned” appears at the top of the screen.
- On the control panel, switch POWER on and set SITE to Skull, kV to 3, mA to 7, and Time to 1.
- Press the green button at the bottom right to take the scan.
Scan the chest
- Use the computer to move and zoom down to the chest. Wait until “Patient Chest – Aligned” appears.
- Set SITE to Chest, kV to 7, mA to 3, and Time to 1.2.
- Press the green button to take the scan.

Collect the films and answer the prompt
- Pick up both printouts from the printer to the right of the computer.
- Place them on the board beside the intercom.
- Interact with the image the game asks for. Select the head or chest image according to the prompt currently on screen; the guides do not establish one universal answer for every game state.
If a scan does not register
- Check that the alignment message for the body part is visible before scanning.
- Confirm that the selected SITE matches the aligned area and that the settings are correct.
- If it still does not proceed, check that you collected or inspected the associated clue first. The chapter walkthrough offers this as a walkthrough-based troubleshooting suggestion, not as a confirmed fix for a specific software bug.
What the X-ray settings mean
The values are fictional inputs for this game puzzle, not instructions or exposure recommendations for real X-ray equipment. Independent walkthroughs agree on the settings and sequence; official puzzle documentation and patch-specific behavior were not verified. The Silent Hill: Townfall mid-game puzzle compilation, marked updated September 26, 2026, also reports matching values but says it compiled them from a linked walkthrough rather than independently rechecking them on hardware.
