The realme 15 5G has the faster listed maximum refresh rate (144Hz against 120Hz) and far faster listed charging (80W against 44W). The vivo S2 5G has a slightly larger display, a marginally larger typical battery, and, in the one third-party comparison we checked, a price about ₹8,000 higher. Those are specification differences for the Indian models. They do not show which phone will feel smoother, last longer or take better photos in daily use.
Specifications side by side
The figures below come from each brand’s official India product page, except where noted. Both pages describe Indian models, so network bands, warranty terms and storage options may differ in other markets.

Display
The realme 15 5G lists a 144Hz maximum refresh rate. The S2 5G lists up to 120Hz. Both panels are listed at 2800 pixels on the long edge. The S2 5G’s display is 0.03 inches larger, which is too small to notice when holding the phone. The realme page does not state the panel type in the excerpt we reviewed, so AMOLED-versus-LCD comparisons cannot be made from the official text alone.

Whether 144Hz is noticeably smoother than 120Hz depends on the app and the user’s eyes, and no test in these sources measured it.

Processor, memory and software
Both phones use MediaTek 4nm chips in the Dimensity 7000 series. The realme 15 5G uses the Dimensity 7300+, and the vivo S2 5G uses the Dimensity 7360-Turbo. Clock speeds and core layouts are listed, but neither source gives benchmark scores, thermal behaviour or sustained gaming results, so the chips cannot be ranked on performance from these specifications.
Memory is the clearest difference in choice. realme lists 8GB and 12GB RAM options, while vivo lists 8GB. Both offer 128GB and 256GB storage. Check that the storage variant you buy matches the variant in the price comparison you are using.
The realme 15 5G runs realme UI 6.0 on Android 15, according to realme India. The vivo S2 5G’s operating system is not stated in the vivo excerpt we reviewed, so confirm it on the exact listing before buying.
Cameras
The realme 15 5G is the more fully documented of the two. Its main sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX882 with optical image stabilisation, paired with an 8MP wide-angle lens, and its front camera is 50MP. The vivo S2 5G’s 50MP primary and 32MP front cameras come from the 91mobiles comparison rather than vivo’s own page. The full rear camera setup, including any ultra-wide or telephoto lens, is not established from the sources reviewed.
Megapixel counts alone do not determine photo quality. Sensor size, processing, stabilisation and night performance all affect results, and none of these were tested in the sources.
Battery and charging
The vivo S2 5G has a 7050mAh typical battery, about 50mAh more than the realme 15 5G’s 7000mAh typical rating. Realme also lists a 6830mAh minimum, so the realme figure is a range rather than a single value. A difference of under 1% in rated capacity is unlikely to change daily battery life in a meaningful way.
The charging gap is much larger. The realme 15 5G lists 80W charging, and realme says the adapter is included. The vivo S2 5G lists 44W. Rated wattage indicates how quickly the phone can accept power under ideal conditions, but it does not give a full-charge time. Actual charging time depends on the adapter in the box and on the phone’s thermal and battery management.
Recommended Free Tools
Battery endurance under real use has not been established from these sources. A rated capacity is a laboratory-style number, and screen-on time depends on the display, the software and how the phone is used.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Price difference
The 91mobiles comparison page showed ₹29,999 for the realme 15 and ₹37,999 for the vivo S2 5G, a difference of ₹8,000. The page’s publication or snapshot date is not stated in the version reviewed, and the prices may have changed since.
The comparison does not confirm that both prices refer to the same storage variant, seller or warranty package. Check each phone’s current price on the retailer’s own page, and make sure the RAM and storage match before comparing.
What the specifications do not settle
The specification sheets establish what each phone is built with. They do not establish how it performs. Three questions remain open from these sources:
- Which phone has better battery endurance in real use.
- Which camera produces better photos across lighting conditions.
- Which chip sustains performance better during long gaming or heavy multitasking.
Independent reviews that test these areas are the right place to answer them, and they should be checked against the exact model and storage variant you plan to buy.
Which one to choose
- Choose the realme 15 5G if you want the higher listed refresh rate, the faster 80W charging, or the 12GB RAM option, and if the lower price on the comparison page holds for your store.
- Choose the vivo S2 5G if you prefer the slightly larger display and the marginally larger typical battery, and the price difference is acceptable.
Before you buy
- Match the RAM and storage variant on both phones before comparing prices.
- Confirm the seller, warranty and region, since these specifications are for Indian models.
- Check the exact package contents. realme’s box list includes a protective case and power adapter, but confirm this on the unit you receive.
- Confirm the vivo S2 5G’s operating system and rear camera configuration on the official product listing.
