The realme 15 Pro 5G is positioned around an all-50MP camera setup and realme says it records 4K video at 60fps across its lenses. Both India pages list the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a 7000mAh typical battery, 80W charging and a display refresh rate up to 144Hz. A current, same-storage price comparison is not established here, so price should decide the purchase only after you check both phones in the same market and configuration.

Which camera system suits you?
Choose the 16 Pro+ for a dedicated telephoto camera
The 16 Pro+ has three distinct rear cameras in its India specification sheet: a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP telephoto with two-axis OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide. That telephoto is the most clearly documented practical difference between the phones. It gives you a separate camera for distant subjects and portraits rather than relying only on the main camera’s crop; the specifications alone do not establish how its photos compare in quality.

Consider the 15 Pro if its all-lens video claim matters more
realme describes the 15 Pro as having triple 50MP cameras and says it supports 4K recording at 60fps across lenses. Treat that as the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent video test. The retrieved 16 Pro+ spec sheet establishes its camera resolutions and telephoto stabilisation, but does not provide a directly comparable all-lens 4K 60fps claim. If a specific frame rate or stabilisation mode is essential, confirm it for the exact regional variant before buying.

Megapixel counts do not settle image quality. Sensor performance, processing, lens behaviour and stabilisation also matter, and there is no independent head-to-head camera test established here.
Performance: the listed chip is the same
Both official India pages list the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That makes the chipset a tie on paper, but it does not prove identical speed, heat management or sustained gaming performance: those can depend on the phone’s cooling and software as well as the chip. No controlled independent test comparing the two models is established here, so claims that one is faster would go beyond the available evidence.

Display: compare resolution and shape, not only refresh rate
Both phones are listed with refresh rates up to 144Hz. The 16 Pro+ specification sheet gives a 17.27 cm AMOLED panel and FHD+ resolution of 1280 × 2800. For the 15 Pro, realme identifies a 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+ display, but the retrieved page does not provide a matching resolution figure. The 15 Pro’s curved-screen design may be a preference factor; compare both in person if you are sensitive to edge reflections, accidental touches or screen shape. A maximum refresh-rate figure does not show how often the display uses that rate in everyday settings.

realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 80W charging for both India models. The pages give different rated capacities: 6830mAh for the 15 Pro and 6850mAh for the 16 Pro+. Typical and rated capacity are different specifications, and neither figure predicts a fixed number of hours per charge. Actual endurance and charging time depend on use and conditions; the manufacturer specifications are not independent standardized battery or charging tests.

Memory and price: make a like-for-like comparison
realme India lists the 16 Pro+ in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. The retrieved 15 Pro page does not establish a complete configuration list, and regional offerings can differ. Confirm the exact RAM and storage tier available for each phone where you live before evaluating value.
No reliable current price pair for the same configuration was established in the official India pages reviewed. Avoid treating launch or third-party comparison prices as a current price difference. Check realme India or authorized retailers on the day you plan to buy, and compare the same storage tier. Keep list prices separate from checkout discounts, bank offers and exchange deals, and verify the seller and warranty region. realme announced the 15 Pro 5G in New Delhi on July 24, 2025, but that announcement date is not a current selling-price quote (realme India newsroom announcement).

Which one should you buy?
- Pick the 16 Pro+ if you want a dedicated 50MP telephoto with two-axis OIS, prefer its specified FHD+ AMOLED display, or need one of its listed memory configurations.
- Consider the 15 Pro if the all-50MP camera positioning and realme’s all-lens 4K 60fps claim match your priorities, or you prefer its curved-display design. Verify the camera and video features for your regional model.
- Do not choose based on chipset, battery capacity or refresh rate alone. The India pages list the same chip, typical battery capacity, charging rate and maximum refresh rate for both; they do not establish equal real-world results.
- Let price break a close call only after checking the same configuration. Compare current local prices, warranty coverage and any offer terms separately rather than mixing different storage tiers or launch pricing.
realme describes the 16 Pro+ as “EXCLUSIVE IN INDIA” on its product page, a regional positioning claim that may not apply to availability or variants elsewhere (realme India 16 Pro+ product page). Buyers outside India should check local official listings before relying on these specifications or configuration details.
