The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is the smaller, lighter model; the V3 Pro has higher published sensor ratings. Both support an optional 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade, but the required dongle is sold separately.

Size, shape, and hand fit

The HyperSpeed is shorter, narrower, and lower than the Pro in Razer’s listed dimensions. Razer describes the shapes as similar, but says the HyperSpeed was refined to reduce its length and width while retaining a high peak for support. That makes it the more compact option on paper; it does not establish that it will fit every hand better.

The Pro is described by Razer as a right-handed ergonomic mouse. If you are choosing between them, compare the listed dimensions with a mouse you already find comfortable, and consider whether you prefer a more compact body or the Pro’s larger measurements. Dimensions alone cannot predict individual comfort or grip preference.

Weight and sensor ratings

At 55 g, the HyperSpeed is 8 g lighter than the Pro’s listed 63 g. The Pro has the higher published sensor ceilings: 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS, and 70 G, compared with 26,000 DPI, 500 IPS, and 40 G for the HyperSpeed. These are manufacturer ratings; they do not show that every player will notice a practical performance difference.

DPI describes the sensor’s reported sensitivity setting, IPS is a maximum tracking-speed rating, and G is an acceleration rating. A higher maximum may matter if your use specifically calls for it, but the figures alone do not determine which mouse feels better or is the better choice for a particular player.

Battery life and polling rate

Razer claims up to 90 hours for the Pro and up to 100 hours for the HyperSpeed. These are manufacturer maximums, not results from a controlled head-to-head battery test. Actual battery life can vary with use, so the published figures should not be treated as a guarantee of everyday runtime. Razer’s 2022 Pro announcement also specifies native 1,000 Hz polling for that model.

Razer says both mice can reach true 8,000 Hz wireless polling with its HyperPolling Wireless Dongle. The dongle is sold separately, not included with either mouse. If that upgrade matters to you, include the additional accessory in your comparison rather than assuming the mice provide 8,000 Hz polling out of the box.

  • Choose the Pro if its larger dimensions suit your preferred hand fit, or you specifically value its higher published sensor ratings.
  • Compare the box contents if the included feet or cable matter to you: the Pro includes four PTFE feet and a braided USB-C cable, while the HyperSpeed includes three larger PTFE feet and a PVC USB-C cable.
  • Factor in the dongle separately if you want Razer’s stated 8,000 Hz wireless polling upgrade; neither mouse includes it.
