For a few Samsung Galaxy messages, the most dependable documented route is to capture screenshots, transfer them to a computer, and print the images. Samsung’s 2022 Korean support guidance says direct message printing is unsupported on the Android versions it lists and recommends this screenshot-to-PC workaround. A Galaxy can print supported images and documents to compatible wireless printers, but Samsung’s S23 manual does not establish a universal print command for text conversations.

Take a screenshot using the method supported by your Galaxy model. Button combinations can differ, so use the instructions for your device if you are unsure.

Capture additional screens as needed. Keep sender names, timestamps, and enough conversation context visible to make the sequence understandable. Avoid cropping details that matter to your record.

Transfer the screenshots to a computer using a method available to you. Samsung’s Korean support article specifically describes sending the captured images to a PC.

Print the image files from the computer, or print them from the phone if your Galaxy and printer support image printing.

Samsung’s recommendation comes from a Korean support article published on 2022-04-05. It names supported devices running Android 12, 11, 10, P, O, and N. Treat that as dated guidance for the listed scope, not a guarantee that every current Galaxy, messaging app, or region behaves the same way. Check the current Share or Print options in your messaging app, but Samsung’s reviewed guidance does not establish a universal direct-print path.

The Galaxy S23 series manual describes printing images and documents over Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi Direct. On that manual’s setup, go to Settings → Connections → More connection settings → Printing → Download plugin, then select a printer plug-in and printer. You can also add a printer manually. After setup, open the supported image or document, open its options, and choose Print.

The path above is from the English EU Galaxy S23 series manual; menus and plug-ins can differ on other models and software. The phone searches for printers on the same Wi-Fi network after you select a plug-in. Some printers may not be compatible, and Samsung notes that “Printing methods may vary depending on the content type.” Check your printer’s Android or Galaxy support and try one page before printing a longer set.
Choose the method that fits your goal

Back up or transfer messages instead of printing
If your aim is to keep messages or move them to another phone, Samsung describes Samsung Cloud, Google backup, Smart Switch phone-to-phone transfer, PC/Mac backup and restore, and external storage restore. These options preserve or transfer messages, but a Smart Switch computer backup is not a printable transcript: Samsung says its backup files cannot be read as messages on the computer. The messages can be read after they are transferred to a new phone.

Samsung’s India guide, updated 2026-03-18, describes Smart Switch transferring message history to Google Messages during Galaxy setup. Samsung’s US guidance says Samsung Messages support ends in July 2026 on Galaxy devices running Android 12 or higher, and gives US switching steps for Google Messages. App availability and behavior vary by region, model, and software; check the guidance for your country and device.
