Prime Video Watchlist is a personal list of movies and TV shows you want to watch later. Add a title from its details page, then open Watchlist to find it again. Saving a title does not buy or rent it, make it included with Prime, or reserve its streaming availability.
What the Watchlist does—and what it does not
Watchlist is a saved-for-later queue. It is separate from your viewing history and from titles you have purchased or rented. A title’s presence on the list does not determine how you can watch it: access may require a Prime membership, a rental, a purchase, or an add-on subscription, depending on the title.

Amazon Staff describes Watchlist as a customized list for keeping track of movies and shows you want to watch (Amazon Digital and Device Forums, “My Stuff”). It is not the same as Continue Watching or Watch Next, which concern playback and viewing progress.
How to add a movie or show
- Open Prime Video and go to the movie or series details page.
- Select the plus symbol or the control labeled “Add to Watchlist.”
- Check for a check mark or an “Added to Watchlist” label to confirm it was saved. Amazon Staff says the plus icon changes to a check mark in supported app interfaces.
On a TV, use the title’s details or options controls with the remote. Button names and layouts vary by device and app version.

Where to find Watchlist
Amazon Staff has described the following navigation paths. Treat them as starting points: labels and menus can differ by device, app update, and locale.
| Device | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Computer or browser | Prime Video > My Stuff > Watchlist |
| iPhone or iPad | Watchlist in the app menu; some instructions place it under My Stuff |
| Android | My Stuff > Watchlist; in some versions, start from the profile control |
| Fire TV | Your Videos > Watchlist |
| Other smart TVs | Look on the Prime Video home screen or in its side menu |
These routes come from Amazon Staff forum answers dated 2020 and 2025 (“My Stuff”; “How Do I Access My Watchlist?”). There is not one universal menu path for every current device interface.

How to remove a title
- Open the title’s details page and select “Added to Watchlist” or the checked add control. Amazon Staff describes this as the title-level removal method.
- If you are already in Watchlist, open the title’s three-dot menu and choose the remove control. On a TV, look for the title’s options or details menu.
The exact control may vary by interface; confirm that the title is no longer marked as added.
Why a title may disappear or be unavailable
Watchlist is a reminder, not a reservation of streaming rights. A title can remain saved while its availability or Prime-included status changes. Amazon Staff says Prime-included titles due to become unavailable within 30 days may display a notice; that is a conditional warning, not a guarantee that every change will be shown or that a title will remain available for 30 days after you add it (“How Do I Access My Watchlist?”).

What to check if your Watchlist looks wrong
- Check the active profile. Prime Video profiles have separate recommendations, season progress, and Watchlists based on individual activity, according to Prime Video’s profile help. Switch profiles if the expected list is missing.
- Look under a different menu label. Depending on the device, try My Stuff, Your Videos, the app menu, or the home-screen and side-menu options.
- Distinguish saved titles from owned titles. Amazon Staff identifies My Stuff > Purchases & Rentals as the place for videos already bought or rented; that is separate from Watchlist (“My Stuff”).
- Do not confuse it with viewing history. Watch History is a separate Prime Video support area, not a list of titles saved for later (Prime Video Support).
