The workshop named in the headline cannot be verified from the available sources, so its date, participants and recommendations should not be reported as fact. The sources do establish relevant context: India has a defined complaint-handling procedure under the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) Resolution, a CVC portal workflow for vigilance administration, and a public-sector enterprise example of preventive-vigilance activities. None of these confirms what an unnamed Defence PSU workshop discussed.
What is known about the workshop?
No reliable source located identifies the specific workshop. Its date, venue, convenor, attendees, speakers, participating Defence PSUs and recommendations therefore remain unverified. There is also no attributable workshop quotation or statistic to report. The available material provides institutional context, not evidence of the event or its outcomes.

How does the PIDPI complaint procedure fit into vigilance?
A Department of Personnel and Training office memorandum dated 16 June 2014 enclosed the procedure for handling complaints under the PIDPI Resolution. It describes Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) in ministries and departments as designated authorities for receiving written disclosures within their specified jurisdiction. The memorandum also asks ministries and organizations to publicize the procedure and designated authorities on their websites. DoPT’s office memorandum and enclosed procedure establish this procedural background; they do not show that the unnamed workshop covered PIDPI.

The Central Vigilance Commission’s Vigilance Status Portal asks ministries and departments to provide maker, checker and CVO details for creating portal user IDs. This indicates a defined administrative setup for portal access. It is not evidence of a workshop decision, nor does it establish a specific preventive-vigilance recommendation for Defence PSUs.

What is one public-sector example of preventive vigilance?
RVNL’s FY 2025–26 annual-report vigilance section describes preventive activities and identifies campaign focus areas that include disposal of pending complaints and cases, capacity building, asset management and digital initiatives. The section is available in RVNL’s annual report, hosted by FinancialFilings. RVNL is an example of a public-sector enterprise; the report does not establish Defence PSU participation in the unnamed workshop or connect these focus areas to it.
