PlayStation-themed blind boxes are no longer just an idea: Sony’s Japanese product site lists an official ASTROBOT Blind Pack Plushie, Series 1. Each pack contains one randomly selected plush from five characters inspired by PlayStation games. It is an Astro Bot plush assortment—not evidence of a worldwide line of PlayStation-logo figures.
What is the PlayStation blind-box product?
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan’s listing describes a blind pack of one palm-sized VIP Bot plush. The characters reimagine heroes from PlayStation games as Astro Bots, and the listing names Good Smile Company as the manufacturer. Sony says the plushies are about 100 mm tall and have movable limbs. See Sony’s official product listing.

The five characters
- Astro
- Jin Sakai Bot, from Ghost of Tsushima
- Ellie Bot, from The Last of Us
- Kratos Bot, from God of War
- Journey Bot
Because each single pack contains one of the five designs at random, a buyer cannot choose a specific character from the single-pack format. Sony also listed a five-piece box, which is a direct way to buy five packs; the listing does not establish that a box guarantees five different designs.
What did Sony list for price and timing?
Sony’s Japanese listing gave these tax-inclusive prices and preorder schedule. They are listing details for Japan, not a current universal price or proof of present stock.

The preorder period shown was July 14–August 27, 2025, with delivery planned for January 2026. That planned delivery date does not confirm that orders shipped or that the product remains available. Sony warns on the page that products may no longer be stocked or may have completed production and shipment. The listing names Good Smile’s online shop and partner shops worldwide as sales channels, but that is not confirmation of current inventory in any particular country.
How does it compare with other PlayStation collectibles?
PlayStation has announced licensed collectibles in other formats, but fixed-content figures and building sets do not have the blind-pack tradeoff of a randomly selected plush.

Does this mean more PlayStation blind boxes are coming?
Not on the evidence of these announcements. Sony’s July 2, 2025 merchandise article says it intends to continue in categories including collectibles and toys and games while expanding into new areas. Its examples include a 28-piece SOPH/F.C. Real Bristol fashion capsule and limited-edition PlayStation-symbol-shaped snacks in a 2024 McCain campaign in Brazil. Those examples show the breadth of licensed merchandise, but Sony did not announce additional blind-box lines there. Sony’s merchandise strategy article.
