To show that category on your website, add a product-list section to a page and filter the section to the category; creating a category alone does not display it.
Before you start
Products need to exist before you can assign them while creating a category. If Store management is not available, first enable the ecommerce platform for your site. Hostinger’s [online store setup guide] describes that prerequisite. Menu labels may change as the editor is updated, so use the closest current labels in your account if they differ.

Create a category and assign products
- In your site’s store area, open Store management → Products → Categories.
- Select Add category and enter a name that describes the group of products.
- Choose Assign products, select the products to include, and save the selection.
- Save the category.
Hostinger’s category setup guide also notes that the store can be used as a catalog without online checkout. Categories organize product assignments; they are not themselves a page or a display setting.
Show a category on your website
In the website editor, open the page where the products should appear and add an online-store product-list section. A new product-list section shows all products by default. Open Edit section and choose the category you want that section to display. Hostinger’s support guide puts it simply: “To display product categories on your website, use product list sections.”

Product-list section settings also include display style, columns, padding, text color, section background, optional product search, and add-to-bag behavior. These are configuration choices, not requirements for displaying a category. See Hostinger’s guide to adding and customizing product sections.
Choose a page layout
Put several categories on one page
Add a separate product-list section for each category, then set each section’s category filter. This groups several collections on one page while keeping their products in distinct sections.

Give each category its own page
Create and name a page for each category. Add a product-list section to each page and set its filter to the matching category. You can link category pages from a dropdown in the site navigation. Hostinger also explains how to find or edit a category page’s URL slug in page settings in its guide to displaying product categories on separate pages.

Add subcategories if the catalog needs another level
In manual mode, create subcategories from Store management → Products → Categories and assign products to them. A product can belong to multiple categories or subcategories. To display a subcategory, create a page, add a product-list section, and filter it to the desired subcategory. You can connect category and subcategory pages with text, buttons, or images so visitors can navigate the hierarchy. Follow Hostinger’s subcategory instructions for the manual-mode workflow.

Hostinger’s product-management article lists a maximum of 1,000 products per store and up to 50 options or variations per product (Hostinger, 2026). These are product and variation limits—not limits on categories or guidance on how many categories to make. Details are in Hostinger’s product setup guide.
