To download a movie for offline viewing, open the Prime Video app on the Fire tablet, open the movie’s detail page, and tap Download if that option is available. If the child will watch in an Amazon Kids profile, you must also make the title available to that profile; downloading it in an adult profile does not automatically add it to the child’s library.

Amazon documents Fire tablets as devices that can download Prime Video titles for offline viewing. The download control is offered from a title’s detail page, but Amazon does not promise that every movie is downloadable. If the button is missing, treat that title as unavailable for download unless its page or Amazon support indicates otherwise. Amazon’s instructions for downloading Prime Video titles

Make content available in an Amazon Kids profile
A Fire tablet is the device; Amazon Kids is the child-profile environment with its own content controls. The Prime Video download process and the child profile’s content library are separate. If the movie is not visible to the child, check the profile’s available content rather than assuming the download failed.
Use Parent Dashboard
In Parent Dashboard, choose the child profile and manage its Amazon Kids+ subscription content or purchased Amazon content. A child can request permission to download store titles after a parent enables Store access. See Amazon’s guidance on adding content to a child profile.
Manage content on the tablet

Open the Grownups menu.

Choose Manage Content.

Choose a source, such as Library, Amazon Kids+ subscription, device storage, or web content.

Select the content and choose Done.
Labels and settings can vary by software version. Amazon describes these controls in its Fire tablet child-profile settings guide.
Know which movies can be added to the child profile
Amazon says Prime Video rentals and videos included with Prime cannot be added to a child profile. Do not assume that a movie downloaded in the adult account can be shared with the child. For eligible content, use the profile controls to manage purchased Amazon content or Amazon Kids+ subscription content. Amazon’s child-profile content rules

If the movie is missing or will not download

No Download option: Amazon’s general instructions give no workaround for a title without that option. Check the movie’s page or contact Amazon support.

The child cannot see the movie: Check that the right content source is enabled for the child profile and confirm the title is eligible to be added. A completed adult-profile download alone does not establish that the child can access it.

Parental controls are involved: Adult-profile Parental Controls can restrict Prime Video playback. Amazon directs parents of children under 13 to use child profiles; adult-profile restrictions and Amazon Kids profile settings are different controls. Amazon’s Fire tablet Parental Controls guidance
Availability varies by device and marketplace
Amazon says Amazon Kids is available only in select marketplaces and that features vary by device. Check the tablet’s available settings and Amazon’s Amazon Kids availability information if a feature described here is missing.
