If OneStream Live or YouTube Live Control Room shows an unstable outgoing stream, check encoder settings, upload stability and computer load. If the broadcast looks healthy but playback buffers for one viewer, test that viewer’s device and network instead. No JioFiber-specific router setting is established as a verified fix for this problem.
First identify which side is buffering
A live broadcast has two distinct stages: the broadcaster sends video to YouTube, then YouTube delivers playback to viewers. A problem in the first stage calls for checks to the encoder, upload connection or streaming device. A problem affecting only one viewer calls for playback-device and viewer-network checks.

- Broadcaster-side warning: Check OneStream Live and YouTube Live Control Room for ingestion or stream-health problems. If the outgoing feed is unstable, start with the encoder and upload connection.
- One viewer reports buffering: Compare playback on another device, in another browser or app, and on another network before changing the broadcast settings.
YouTube says it transcodes live streams into multiple formats so viewers on different devices and networks can watch. That delivery process is separate from the broadcaster’s upload to YouTube. YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance describes the platform’s live-streaming requirements and transcoding.
Check encoder settings and upload headroom
For an RTMP encoder, verify the selected resolution, frame rate, keyframe interval and bitrate. Use YouTube’s current encoder guidance for the codec and resolution you have chosen; YouTube recommends RTMPS for live ingestion. Check YouTube’s current encoder settings rather than relying on an old preset.

OneStream Live’s Help Center lists these minimum video-bitrate recommendations: 1.5 Mbps for 720p and 3 Mbps for 1080p. It recommends at least 10 Mbps upload, describes 25 Mbps or higher as ideal, and advises keeping video bitrate at no more than half of available upload speed. Measure upload performance on the same device that is streaming, preferably when the buffering usually occurs. Do not assume a package’s advertised download speed is the upload capacity available to your encoder. If upload headroom is tight or variable, lower the bitrate for a controlled test; if needed, also reduce resolution or frame rate. Change one setting at a time so you can tell which change affects stream health.

Compare Ethernet with Wi-Fi
OneStream Live recommends Ethernet whenever possible for better stability. Connect the streaming computer directly to the router with an Ethernet cable, then compare a test stream with your usual Wi-Fi setup. A wired connection is a useful diagnostic, not proof that JioFiber is at fault or a guaranteed cure. If Ethernet is unavailable, move closer to the Wi-Fi router and retest. OneStream Live also suggests restarting the router as a basic stability check; repeated restarts do not establish a JioFiber-specific cause.

Avoid changing router DNS or disabling IPv6 as a supposed fix: no verified JioFiber-specific evidence establishes either change as a remedy for this symptom.

Check the streaming device’s load
High CPU use can affect stream stability and cause buffering or pixelation. OneStream Live identifies CPU usage of 80% or higher as a trigger for its troubleshooting steps. Close unnecessary applications, keep a laptop connected to power, restart the device if appropriate, and lower encoder settings to test whether load is contributing. OBS users can run OBS Analyzer to look for critical issues or warnings. OneStream Live’s troubleshooting article covers these checks.
If only a viewer’s playback buffers
Leave the broadcast configuration alone initially. Ask the affected viewer to try another device or browser/app and a different network, then temporarily lower playback quality as a diagnostic. If other viewers can watch normally, that points toward the individual playback path rather than proving the outgoing stream is faulty. YouTube’s transcoding is designed to serve viewers on different devices and networks, but it does not identify the cause of an individual viewer’s buffering.

Does this require a JioFiber router change?
No JioFiber-specific router setting is established as a fix for OneStream Live-to-YouTube buffering. Router models, firmware and local service conditions vary, and anecdotal reports about DNS, IPv6 or other router changes are not enough to recommend them as verified instructions. Start with observable comparisons: broadcaster versus viewer playback, Ethernet versus Wi-Fi, measured upload headroom versus bitrate, and normal versus reduced device load.
