For a larger, higher-resolution display and a higher-tier listed chipset, the OnePlus 13 has the stronger specification sheet; the India OPPO Reno16 5G stands out for its larger stated battery capacity and specified 3.5x optical telephoto. Price is not a clean head-to-head: the OnePlus India listing is for 16GB/512GB, while Reno16 India configurations have 256GB storage, and OPPO’s published Reno16 prices changed between launch and its later dated snapshot.
This comparison is for the Indian OPPO Reno16 5G (model CPH2865), not the Reno16c 5G (CPH2859) or another market’s Reno16 variant. Check the model code on the retailer listing before buying. OPPO identifies the Indian models and notes regional specification differences.

Which is better, OnePlus 13 or OPPO Reno16?
There is no single winner for every buyer. The OnePlus 13 is the more compelling specification-led choice if you prioritise the listed chipset tier, a larger and higher-resolution screen, wireless charging or a 512GB configuration. The Reno16 may suit you better if its stated battery capacity, 3.5x optical telephoto specification or India-specific listed durability ratings are more relevant to your needs.
#1 Best Overall
Those comparisons do not establish which phone feels faster, takes better photos, lasts longer per charge or is tougher in use. The cited sources do not provide controlled head-to-head test results for those outcomes.
Display and chipset differences
OnePlus 13: larger, sharper listed display
OnePlus lists a 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO 4.1 display with a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate. Compared with the Reno16’s listed 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, it has both a larger diagonal and higher stated resolution. Panel technology, brightness in everyday conditions and viewing quality cannot be judged from those figures alone.
Reno16: lower-tier listed chipset
The global OnePlus 13 specification page names Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, while OPPO’s India Reno16 details name the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. This establishes a difference in the listed platforms, but not a measured real-world speed gap. App responsiveness, gaming performance and thermal behaviour require independent testing under comparable conditions.
Camera specifications: three 50MP rear cameras on each
Both phones list three 50MP rear cameras, but that shared megapixel count does not make the camera systems equivalent. OPPO specifically lists a 3.5x optical telephoto with optical image stabilisation (OIS) for the Indian Reno16. OnePlus’s global specification page lists a 50MP main, ultrawide and telephoto camera, without establishing the same 3.5x specification in the comparison details here.
Camera quality depends on more than resolution or zoom labels, including sensor, lens, processing and shooting conditions. These specifications alone do not prove which phone produces better portraits, night shots or video.

Capacity is not a battery-life result
OPPO lists the Reno16 at 6,700mAh typical and 6,490mAh rated, with 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. OnePlus lists a 6,000mAh battery, 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging on its global page. Reno16 has the larger stated capacity; that does not demonstrate longer runtime, while charging claims do not by themselves establish real charging times. Check the India package and seller details for the included adapter and relevant market configuration.
Reno16’s listed ingress-protection ratings
OPPO’s India details page lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the Reno16. These are manufacturer-listed ratings, not evidence of a head-to-head durability test. The cited OnePlus specification result does not establish a directly comparable rating, so a claim that one phone is tougher would go beyond the available comparison.

OPPO’s launch announcement on 2 July 2026 gave the Reno16 5G launch prices as ₹61,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹67,999 for 12GB/256GB; the announcement said sales would begin on 9 July through Amazon, Flipkart, mainline retail and OPPO’s e-store. Read OPPO India’s launch announcement.
OPPO’s later product-details page lists ₹66,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB/256GB, with prices stated correct as of 31 August 2026 and subject to change. These are a dated snapshot, not a live retailer check. Check OPPO India’s Reno16 details.
OnePlus India lists ₹76,999 for the 16GB/512GB OnePlus 13. That configuration has twice the storage of either Reno16 option, so comparing it directly with a 256GB Reno16 does not produce a like-for-like price difference. The available figures also do not establish matched current transaction prices. Check current retailer prices for the same market, date and storage tier before deciding which costs less.
Quick Recap
Which configuration should you compare?
- For a price comparison: Match storage as closely as possible and record the date, seller and market for each live price. The listed OnePlus 13 India figure is for 512GB; Reno16 India options listed by OPPO are 256GB.
- For a model check: Confirm CPH2865 for the Indian Reno16 5G. Do not substitute Reno16c CPH2859 or assume specifications from another country apply.
- For a feature decision: Choose based on the listed features that matter to you, but seek independent testing if your priority is actual speed, camera output, endurance or resistance to damage.
- Before purchase: Verify the seller, stock, exact regional variant, warranty terms and included charger. Availability and package contents can differ by retailer and market.
