Which phone is better for performance?
On paper, the GT 7T’s Dimensity 8400-MAX is the higher-positioned processor compared with the Phone (3a)’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. That is a specification-based distinction, not proof of a particular frame rate or faster everyday experience. Sustained gaming and demanding workloads also depend on software, temperature, test version and workload. The cited comparison page includes benchmark figures, but without verified test methods they should not be treated as universal results.

If demanding games or processing-heavy tasks are your priority, the GT 7T’s processor gives it the stronger paper case. For an actual buying decision, seek independent tests of the exact regional versions and look for sustained rather than short burst performance.
Which has the better camera?
The Phone (3a)’s clearest hardware advantage is its separate 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. That gives it a dedicated lens for zoom framing, alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. The published specifications establish camera flexibility, but megapixel counts alone do not establish better photos.
realme’s reviewed GT 7T pages highlight video capabilities, including rear and front 4K 60fps claims, but do not give a directly comparable complete camera breakdown in the cited material. There is not enough comparable hardware information or sample-based testing here to name an overall camera winner. Compare photos and video from the exact models if image quality matters more than having a dedicated optical-zoom lens.

Battery, charging and display: what the numbers mean
Battery and charging
realme lists a 7000mAh typical battery and 6850mAh rated capacity for the GT 7T, compared with Nothing’s 5000mAh Phone (3a) battery. realme also specifies 120W charging, while Nothing lists 50W. These are manufacturer specifications, not a controlled battery-life or charging-time comparison; capacity and wattage do not translate directly into a guaranteed number of hours or a specific charge time.
Display brightness
Both phones have 6.77-inch, 120Hz AMOLED displays in the cited specifications. Nothing lists up to 3000 nits for the Phone (3a). realme advertises up to 6000 nits local peak brightness for the GT 7T under a stated 100,000-lux condition. These peak figures use different stated conditions and should not be read as a direct measure of ordinary screen brightness or outdoor readability. An independent test using the same method would be needed for a fair brightness ranking.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is the price difference?
A current, fair price difference cannot be established without a target market, date and matching configurations. A 91mobiles comparison page surfaced India listings of ₹24,999 for the Phone (3a) and ₹38,589 for the GT 7T, but these are crawl-time marketplace figures, not verified current prices or a confirmed like-for-like comparison. Offers and configurations can change, so those numbers do not establish today’s gap.

To compare value, check both phones in the same country on the same date and match RAM and storage. Compare the same kind of seller and warranty, and either include bank or exchange discounts for both phones or exclude them for both. Nothing’s India page currently shows an 8GB+128GB selection, but that alone does not identify a matching GT 7T listing.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Phone (3a) if a dedicated telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom is more useful to you than a larger battery or faster charging.
- Choose the GT 7T if its higher-positioned processor, larger stated battery and 120W charging better fit your priorities.
- Compare exact listings before deciding if value is the deciding factor: market, storage/RAM, seller, warranty and discounts can change the result.
