If Nimbus Screenshot stops before it captures the content you need, first check that you chose the capture mode for the right scroll area: use Entire page for the document, and Selected & Scroll or Capture Fragment for a scrollable panel inside the page. Then compare the result on another long page and isolate browser variables before assuming Nimbus is broken.
Choose the capture mode for the content you want
A web page can have more than one independently scrollable area. The browser window may scroll the document while a chat, task window, or control panel scrolls inside the page. Those are different capture targets.

For the whole document
Choose Entire page when you want the page itself from top to bottom. Nimbus’s guide describes this mode for capturing a full page.
For a panel inside the page
Choose Selected & Scroll or Capture Fragment and select the panel when the content you need is in a nested scroll area, such as a chat window or a task panel. Nimbus documents scrolling-region capture separately from whole-page capture. Its Mozilla Add-ons listing also says it “Supports scrolling when capturing screenshots from web pages.”

If you’re unsure which area is scrolling, click or hover over the intended panel and try scrolling there. Confirm that the panel—not just the outer page—moves before capturing.
Diagnose whether the issue is the page or the browser setup
- Try the same mode on a long, ordinary web page. If Nimbus completes that capture but stops early on only one site, the problem appears limited to that site or page behavior; this comparison does not establish the cause.
- Watch the target while it scrolls. Check whether the intended region actually scrolls and whether content loads or is replaced as the capture proceeds. This is a diagnostic check, not a confirmed Nimbus fix. The available Nimbus guidance does not explain how it handles virtualized or dynamically loaded pages.
- Temporarily isolate other extensions. Disable other extensions for a test or use a clean browser profile, then restore your usual setup. TechSmith recommends private browsing as a way to rule out third-party extensions in its Snagit troubleshooting guidance; that is a general isolation idea, not a Nimbus-specific remedy.
- Try another browser and set zoom to 100% for the test. TechSmith also suggests these checks for Snagit. They may help narrow down a general browser or page issue, but do not prove that Nimbus supports or will work better in a particular browser.
- Verify Nimbus is enabled and note its version. Check the browser’s extension manager. If the problem persists, record the browser and version, Nimbus version, operating system, site, intended scroll area, and whether another page reproduces the issue.
What Nimbus’s published guidance does—and doesn’t—establish
Nimbus describes full-page and selected-region capture, including scrolling a selected region. Its surfaced browser troubleshooter covers topics such as extension visibility, screenshot quality, audio, hotkeys, and recording, but it does not provide a dedicated procedure for a scrolling capture that stops early. The available material does not establish a universal page-length limit, a confirmed bug, or a definitive reset or repair for this symptom.

The Mozilla Add-ons listing showed Nimbus Screen Capture version 15.6.9 and a last-updated date of July 31, 2020 when checked. That listing metadata is not proof of compatibility with any particular current browser version, so check the version shown in your own extension manager rather than treating the listing as a current compatibility guarantee.

When the capture still stops early
- Keep the original browser settings available if you temporarily disable extensions or use a separate profile; restore them after the comparison.
- Report what you observed rather than guessing at the cause: include the exact capture mode, whether the target was the document or a nested panel, the page or site, and the browser, extension, and operating-system versions.
- Do not treat reinstalling, deleting a browser profile, or disabling security tools as established fixes for this Nimbus symptom. The available Nimbus guidance does not identify those actions as remedies.
