To capture a full web page in Microsoft Edge, open the page, press Ctrl+Shift+S, choose Capture full page, then review and save the capture. Edge can include content beyond the visible screen without requiring you to scroll manually.
Take a full-page screenshot in Edge
- Open the webpage you want to capture in Microsoft Edge.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+S to open the capture tool. You can also open Settings and more (…) and choose Screenshot or Web capture, depending on the label in your Edge interface. Microsoft also documents access from the page’s right-click menu.
- Select Capture full page to capture the entire webpage, including content beyond the visible screen. Choose the area-capture option instead if you need only a selected portion.
- Review the capture. If needed, mark it up with the available pen or touch tools, then copy it or save it.
Microsoft now calls the feature Screenshot; some Edge interfaces and instructions may still call it Web Capture. Choose full page or area capture
- Capture full page: use this for a scrolling screenshot of the webpage, including parts outside the current viewport.
- Area capture: use this when you want to select only a portion of the page.
Full-page capture is distinct from taking a normal screen or window screenshot: the latter captures what is visible, while Edge’s full-page option is intended to include the page beyond the screen.
If the capture option is missing
On a work or school device, an administrator may control whether Edge’s Screenshot/Web Capture feature is available. Microsoft’s WebCaptureEnabled policy documentation says that when the policy is enabled or not configured, the command appears in the context menu and Settings and more menu and is available by shortcut. If the command is absent, check with your organization’s administrator rather than assuming the shortcut is broken.

Other ways to save a page
Windows Snipping Tool
Windows Snipping Tool offers freeform, rectangular, window, and full-screen captures, plus editing and saving. Microsoft’s documented modes do not describe capturing an entire scrolling webpage, so use it for visible screen content or a selected region rather than as a substitute for Edge’s full-page capture. OneNote Web Clipper
If your goal is to keep a page in a notebook, OneNote Web Clipper offers Full Page and Region screenshot options, as well as an Article option that saves editable text and images. It is an optional OneNote destination, not a necessary step in Edge’s screenshot workflow. See OneNote Web Clipper.
