FireShot is available as a Mac app whose App Store listing says it works with Safari and offers full-page, visible-part, and custom-selection captures. The listing requires macOS 10.14.6 or later. The sources available do not establish the current installation and extension-activation clicks, so use the current App Store prompts rather than relying on an assumed Safari menu path.
Check that FireShot is available for your Mac
Apple’s Mac App Store listing for FireShot: Web Page Screenshots names Evgeny Suslikov as the developer and specifies macOS 10.14.6 or later. Its description identifies Safari on Mac and advertises three capture scopes: full page, visible part, and custom selection.

- Check that your Mac meets the listing’s macOS requirement.
- Find FireShot: Web Page Screenshots in the Mac App Store and follow the current App Store and in-app setup prompts.
- Open the webpage you want to capture in Safari.
- Choose the capture scope that suits the page: the whole page, the currently visible part, or a selection.
- Follow the app’s current prompts to save or export the result.
The listing does not document the current installation, Safari extension-enabling, or capture-button sequence. Exact labels and locations may change, so consult the listing and the app’s own current prompts if setup is unclear; this guide does not assume a particular toolbar button or permission dialog.

Choose the visible-part mode when you only need what is currently on screen, rather than a capture of the entire page.
Custom selection
The custom-selection mode is intended for capturing a chosen area. The listing confirms the mode but does not document its exact selection gesture or controls.

PDF and image files
FireShot’s App Store description advertises searchable PDFs with hyperlinks and PNG or JPEG image output. These are listed capabilities, not a guarantee that every webpage will produce the same result or preserve all interactive and dynamic content.
If FireShot setup or capture does not work
- The app is not available or will not install: Check the current Mac App Store listing and compare its macOS 10.14.6-or-later requirement with the system installed on your Mac.
- You cannot find the extension or capture control: The reviewed listing does not specify current Safari setup clicks or interface labels. Follow the prompts shown by the current app and App Store version instead of assuming a menu path.
- The result is not the scope you wanted: Confirm whether you chose full page, visible part, or custom selection; these are distinct modes advertised by the listing.
- Content is missing or looks different: The listing does not guarantee capture fidelity for every webpage or type of content. Try another capture scope, and treat the output as a screenshot rather than a complete copy of the site’s behavior.
Safari’s built-in alternative saves a page, not a screenshot
If FireShot is unavailable, or you need to preserve page content rather than create a screenshot image, Safari provides a saving option. With the page open, choose File > Save As, then choose Web Archive or Page Source. Apple explains that a Web Archive saves graphics, while Page Source saves HTML. These formats serve different purposes from a screenshot; some pages may prevent items from being saved. See Apple’s Safari instructions for saving part or all of a webpage.
