Night Call has no single culprit answer that works for every playthrough: its encounters are randomized, and a suspect’s guilt can change between runs. To make progress, follow the clues your passengers provide while balancing investigation time against the fares you need for gas and bills. For Passidex secrets, use passenger-specific directions as conditional clue paths, not guaranteed cheats.
How cases and night shifts work
Night Call is a single-player noir investigation game from Monkey Moon and BlackMuffin, published by Raw Fury. You play a Paris taxi driver, choosing passengers, driving them, responding to their dialogue and collecting clues during night shifts. Steam describes three distinct cases, a seven-night investigation premise and a separate Free Roaming mode. Its Steam listing also says clues reveal information about suspects and point toward leads.

The official press kit captures the basic approach: “Pick up the right passengers and ask the right questions to obtain new clues.” That is a strategy principle, not a fixed route. The official press kit also warns: “Be careful: a guilty suspect in one playthrough may be completely innocent in the next.” Follow the evidence in your current run rather than treating any one suspect as the universal culprit.
Balance clues against cab income
Passenger conversations can move a case forward, but fares help cover expenses such as gas and bills. The official press kit describes the cabbie’s and investigator’s priorities as sometimes conflicting. A ride that seems useful for clues may mean passing up another fare; concentrating only on income can leave you with too little information to make progress.

- Personalized Adventuring with Magicite - Customize Elliot’s weapons by equipping different combinations of magicite found during the journey. Try out all sorts of variations and confront obstacles using your own methods.
- Choose rides with a reason. When a passenger or lead seems relevant to the case, use the ride to ask questions and listen for information that points to another person or lead.
- Keep work expenses in view. You still need to earn enough to continue driving. Avoid treating every conversation as automatically more valuable than a fare.
- Make deductions from this run’s clues. The game’s official descriptions establish variable encounters and guilt across playthroughs; they do not establish a complete, fixed clue sequence or universal accusation.
Steam’s game listing describes clues as a way to learn about suspects and discover leads. The available official descriptions do not provide a verified case-by-case solution, so a prescribed accusation or ordered passenger route would overstate what is established.
Passidex secrets: what to expect
Passidex completion can depend on choices and timing, rather than simply meeting each passenger once. A Steam Community Passidex guide by cas, updated August 10, 2022, reports 89 passengers and 428 entries. Those are the guide author’s counts, not an official current total. The guide is labeled a work in progress and warns that some entries may be bugged or unobtainable.

According to the guide, some entries unlock automatically, while others depend on dialogue choices. It says many can be pursued in Free Roaming, but some require seeing the same passenger multiple times over the course of a scenario week. The examples below are spoiler-marked, community-reported directions; they are not developer-confirmed guarantees, and the guide does not claim to be exhaustive.

For the full passenger list and its additional conditions, consult the community guide itself; it contains unmarked spoilers, so approach it accordingly. Its directions may not unlock every entry in every run.
Story cases or Free Roaming?
Steam distinguishes its three-case investigation structure from Free Roaming. The story cases give you a bounded investigation premise; Free Roaming is a separate mode that the Passidex guide says can be used for many entries. Because the guide also reports some repeat-visit requirements within a scenario week, it does not establish that Free Roaming can unlock every entry.
Rank #4
Steam’s current listing shows 45 achievements, and its Community guide index includes a separate achievement guide. That listing confirms the storefront’s displayed count, not that every achievement or Passidex entry is currently obtainable; the passenger guide itself reports possible entry issues.
