Nibelsnarf’s weaknesses depend on which Monster Hunter game you’re playing. In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, a guide lists Ice and Water as weaknesses and Fire as a strength. In Monster Hunter Generations, the useful target and elemental damage vary by body part. Monster Hunter Stories 3 has its own separate weakness-and-resistance entry, which should not be applied to the older action games.
First, identify your game
There is no single supported weakness profile that applies to every Nibelsnarf encounter. The available guides cover three different games, with distinct combat systems and data. Use the entry for the game you are playing rather than combining their advice into one build recommendation.

Gamer Guides lists Ice and Water as Nibelsnarf’s weaknesses and Fire as an element it is strong against. The guide identifies the mouth, nose, and gills as weak spots. These are Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate-specific recommendations, not a universal profile for the monster. When to attack
The same guide recommends staying mobile and attacking after Nibelsnarf finishes a clear attack or becomes stunned. Treat those as encounter tactics from that guide, not as a guarantee that every opening is safe; observe the monster’s current animation before committing.

Nibelsnarf in Monster Hunter Generations
Choose a target by body part
Samurai Gamers provides a hitzone table broken down by body part and attack type. Its table highlights the uvula as a particularly vulnerable target, and shows Ice as effective on some listed parts. That does not mean Ice or one target is automatically best in every situation: the table’s distinctions by part matter. The reviewed information does not establish one cross-part elemental ranking to apply to all attacks. Consult the Monster Hunter Generations Nibelsnarf walkthrough and weakness-point table (published July 20, 2016).
Account for item effectiveness
The guide’s item table marks Pitfall Traps and Flash Bombs ineffective in the conditions it lists. Check the table’s condition notes before relying on either item; this is not evidence that every item behaves the same way in every state or encounter.
General mechanics: statuses and fishing
Capcom’s Monster Hunter Generations manual explains that monsters can resist some abnormal statuses and that repeating the same status can become less effective. It covers poison, paralysis, sleep, stun, and capture mechanics as general hunting guidance, not as a Nibelsnarf-specific status chart. Monster Hunter Stories 3 has a distinct Nibelsnarf weaknesses-and-resistances entry. Keep that data within Stories 3; the reviewed information does not justify transferring it to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or Monster Hunter Generations, whose combat systems and tables differ. Why this is a Monster Hunter guide, not a software vulnerability profile

The verifiable subject here is Nibelsnarf, a monster in the Monster Hunter games. Those unsupported software claims should not be treated as facts about an actual technology.
