To turn off the GOAT Skill activation animation in NBA 2K27, open Customize HUD, select GOAT Skill Graphics, and set it to Off. The exact route into HUD settings may vary by mode or game build.
Turn off the activation graphic

NBA 2K27-specific how-to guides published on August 28 and August 31, 2026, address turning off the GOAT Skill graphic or activation animation. If you cannot find the setting
Open HUD customization from the mode you are playing and check its graphic settings. Menu labels or available controls may differ by mode or build; the available sources do not establish a platform-specific route.
Off or a shorter animation?
Some NBA 2K26 players report a Quick option alongside Off: Quick shortens the presentation, while Off removes the activation graphic. That option is not confirmed for every NBA 2K27 build, so use it only if it appears in your settings. Recent-release player reports

What this setting does not necessarily hide
The GOAT Skill activation graphic is distinct from progress or gameplay notifications. Player reports indicate that turning off the graphic may leave those separate pop-ups visible. The available sources do not establish a separate, reliable NBA 2K27 setting that suppresses all GOAT-related notifications.

If the graphic comes back
Return to Customize HUD and check GOAT Skill Graphics again. Some NBA 2K26 players reported HUD settings reverting, but that behavior has not been established for NBA 2K27.
