The Moto G67 Power costs less in the captured India comparison, while the Redmi Note 17 5G lists a larger AMOLED display, faster charging and longer stated security support. The better buy depends on whether those upgrades are worth the price gap—and on checking the Redmi’s exact India configuration, since Xiaomi’s regional specifications differ.
Price difference: the Moto is cheaper in the observed listing
A comparison listing showed the Moto G67 Power at ₹23,500 and the Redmi Note 17 5G at ₹27,999, a difference of ₹4,499. These are listed prices from the comparison snapshot, not official MSRPs or guaranteed checkout prices; offers, stock, sellers and configurations can change. The listing page was unavailable when retrieved, so treat the figures as a dated reference and verify the live price and matching RAM/storage options before buying.

Specifications are manufacturer listings, not independent test results. Motorola notes that specifications can vary by market. Xiaomi’s own India, UK and Global pages do not agree on some Redmi details; the regional differences are explained below.

The Redmi’s 6.99-inch AMOLED screen is larger than the Moto’s 6.7-inch LCD. AMOLED is the more notable panel-type distinction on paper, while both listings specify refresh rates up to 120Hz. Xiaomi UK lists a peak brightness figure of 1800 nits; that is a manufacturer specification, not a brightness measurement from an independent test. Choose the Redmi if screen size and OLED are priorities, but the specification sheet alone cannot establish which display looks better in everyday use.

Performance: chip names do not prove which phone is faster
Motorola lists the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, and Xiaomi lists the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. Both are identified as 4nm octa-core platforms, with listed maximum CPU frequencies of 2.4GHz and 2.3GHz respectively. Those details are not a substitute for controlled performance testing, and no such test results are established here. Do not choose a phone on the basis of the chip name or clock speed alone.
Battery and charging: faster charging is clear; Redmi capacity is not
The Moto is listed with a 7000mAh battery and charging capability up to 30W. Xiaomi specifies 45W wired charging for the Redmi, but its capacity differs by market page: India says 8000mAh typical, while Global and UK say 7700mAh. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish real-world battery life or charging time; Xiaomi notes that battery results from simulated testing can vary in actual use.

Cameras: Moto lists more explicit rear-camera options
Motorola specifies a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 32MP front camera. Xiaomi lists a 50MP main camera for the Redmi, but the examined key spec blocks do not list an ultrawide. Its listed selfie resolution also varies by region: 8MP on the India page and 16MP on the UK page. Megapixel counts describe resolution, not photo quality, so they cannot settle which phone takes better pictures.
Software support and durability
Support period
Motorola India lists Android 15, one OS upgrade and three years of security maintenance releases for the Moto. Xiaomi Global states “6 years of security updates” for the Redmi, while Xiaomi India identifies HyperOS 3. The six-year statement is Xiaomi’s product-page claim about security updates; it should not be read as a promise of six Android-version upgrades.

Water and dust protection
The Moto is listed as IP64 and the Redmi as IP65, and both list Gorilla Glass 7i. These ingress ratings are based on defined test conditions; neither rating means a phone is waterproof. Xiaomi says liquid damage outside tested conditions is excluded from warranty coverage. Check each manufacturer’s regional warranty terms rather than treating an IP rating as a guarantee against damage.
Check the Redmi’s regional variant before paying
The official Xiaomi pages use the same marketed model name but show different specifications and box contents. India lists an 8000mAh typical battery, an 8MP front camera and a 45W charger in the package. Xiaomi Global and UK list a 7700mAh battery; UK lists a 16MP front camera and says an adapter is not included. These differences make it important to verify the exact local SKU and seller listing rather than assume one page describes every unit.
Rank #4
- Display Type: LCD; Operating System: Android 13.0
- Confirm the RAM and storage configuration matches the price you are comparing.
- Check whether a charger is included in the box for that seller and region.
- For an imported phone, verify network-band compatibility; Xiaomi warns that bands may vary by region.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Moto G67 Power if
- The lower price in your local listing matters most.
- You want the listed 8MP ultrawide rear camera and 32MP front camera.
- You prefer the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 listed by Motorola, while recognizing that no independent speed comparison is established here.
Choose the Redmi Note 17 5G if
- You value its larger AMOLED display and 45W wired charging.
- You put weight on Xiaomi Global’s stated six-year security-update period.
- You have checked that the India SKU, camera, battery and charger details match the unit being sold.
At the captured prices, the Redmi asks ₹4,499 more for its listed display, charging and support advantages. The Moto’s lower listed price and more clearly specified ultrawide setup may suit buyers with different priorities. Compare live prices for the same configuration, then decide which of those differences you will actually use.
