Your target is 26/26. If the counter stops at 24/26 or 25/26, check those two mobile crates before assuming you missed a building. Eight locked locations use four-digit keypad codes, and leading zeroes are part of the codes.
How many Yellow Supply Crates are in Modern Warfare 4?
There are 26 Yellow Supply Crates in the Stranded campaign mission. Prima Games contributor Josh Challies reported the 26-crate total on October 19, 2026. An iTechGuides replay guide breaks that total into 24 fixed-position caches and two mobile caches: one aboard a passing train and one carried by a roaming convoy or patrol truck.

The distinction matters because a normal sweep of named map locations can leave you at 24/26 or 25/26 even when every obvious building has been searched. Treat the in-game counter as the authority. A location is not complete merely because you found the building or saw the container; open the crate and confirm that the total increased.
- Fixed caches: 24 crates tied to buildings, checkpoints, islands, towers, bunkers and other map landmarks.
- Mobile caches: the Train crate and the Infantry Checkpoint 3 Truck crate.
- Completion target: 26/26 in Stranded.
Rewards are drawn from a random pool. Reported possibilities include supplies, armor plates, equipment, weapons and attachments such as a Sang 9mm silencer, heartbeat sensor, Kastov 762 with extended magazine, Rezi 12 with Enforcer, Akilo AR underbarrel grenade launcher, Type 73 LMG, Akilo AR silencer and Mosin-Nagant with scope. A particular crate does not guarantee one particular weapon or attachment.

Routes and access actions that commonly cause a missed crate
Reach elevated caches instead of searching ground level
The Base Camp Radio Tower cache is south of Base Camp, above ground level. Climb the tower rather than circling the base. At the Jamming Tower, use the ladder to reach the base platform. The route toward the Bunker uses pipes at the water tower; climb them to reach the elevated section before approaching the bunker.
Enter the right interior spaces
Artillery Battery 7 is inside its command center, not simply somewhere in the wider battery compound. Infantry Checkpoints 2 and 3 likewise require a search of their command centers. Logistics Station #10 is inside its command center. At Logistics Station #200, use the garage’s left-side door. At Logistics Station #100, operate the generator to move the elevator to the third floor, then enter behind the elevator.

Use the sewer entrance and clear hazards
The Sewers cache is below the Water Treatment Plant and is identified as the Smuggler’s Stash. If you search only the surface plant, you will not find it. The northmost trapped house has a separate hazard: clear its booby traps before collecting the cache.

Check the exact approach to bunker and checkpoint areas
For Infantry Checkpoint #4’s bunker approach, look immediately before the bunker entrance. The NW Island cache is inside a hidden bunker, so reaching the island is only part of the task; enter the bunker code and collect the crate. The SAM Site Statue cache is at the statue’s foot, a spot that is easy to pass while searching the larger site.
Remove the obstruction at Artillery Battery 6
The Artillery Battery 6 container is blocked by wooden crates. Destroy the obstruction before concluding that the container is absent.
Drop through the locked-house roof opening
One locked-house route requires climbing behind the house, reaching the roof and dropping through the opening. Searching the ground-floor exterior alone will not complete that pickup.
Keypad codes for every locked Yellow Crate route
Enter each code as a four-digit number. Preserve every leading zero. For example, 0078 is not the same input as 78, and 0008 must be entered with all four digits.

The Base Camp code 0024 and Farm Field code 0330 are part of the locked-storage route even though the named 26-entry location table identifies the associated areas by landmark rather than repeating both code labels. Check them whenever a container or hidden bunker in those areas remains unopened.
One early-access report listed 6788 for Small Island, but the main code table and location guide use 6789. Try 6789 first. If it fails in your particular build, inspect the keypad clue in the game rather than repeatedly cycling through guesses; the discrepancy may reflect an early version or a guide error.
How to collect the two mobile crates
Train crate
- Move to a safe position beside the railway track near the train route.
- Wait for the train to approach instead of searching the fixed railway landmarks for a stationary container.
- Board the passing train while it is alongside you.
- Enter the open coach and open the Yellow Supply Crate inside.
- Watch the counter increase before leaving the train route.
The train cache is the reason a route can look complete while the counter remains at 25/26. It is a moving objective, not an additional crate hidden at a permanent coordinate.

Infantry Checkpoint 3 Truck crate
- Equip or activate the Supply Tracker.
- Watch for the roaming truck near Infantry Checkpoint 3 or along its patrol route.
- Follow the truck and approach when it is safe to do so.
- Open the Yellow Supply Crate carried by the convoy vehicle.
- Confirm the counter reaches the next total before moving on.
The truck can be near the relevant checkpoint without being parked exactly on the coordinate in the checklist. If it is not present, patrol the route and use the Supply Tracker rather than restarting immediately.

What to do when the counter stops at 24/26 or 25/26
A shortfall of two is the strongest clue that both mobile caches remain. A shortfall of one often means either the train or truck was missed, although a locked container that was discovered but never opened can produce the same result.
- Check the counter before leaving each area. Record the number after opening a crate, not after merely reaching its landmark.
- At 24/26 or 25/26, prioritize the train and truck. Wait beside the railway for the open-coach crate and use the Supply Tracker for the roaming convoy truck.
- Revisit every keypad location. Verify that the container door opened and that you entered all four digits, including leading zeroes.
- Inspect access-dependent spots. Recheck the Sewers entrance, tower ladders, water-tower pipes, elevator route, roof opening, wooden obstruction and bunker entrance.
- Replay Stranded through Mission Select. The replay guide says collectible progress carries over, allowing a cleanup run instead of requiring a fresh campaign completion.
- Finish only when the counter reads 26/26. Use that total as the completion check for the mission.
Can you replay Stranded after missing a crate?
Yes. Mission Select lets you replay Stranded, and the replay guidance says collectible progress carries over. Select Stranded, run directly to the missing fixed location or mobile route, and monitor the counter. You do not need to treat the cleanup run as a complete restart of your collectible progress.
For an efficient replay, begin with the clue shown by your total. At 25/26, check the train and truck before visiting every building. If both mobile crates are already confirmed, work through the keypad table, then the traversal-dependent locations: the sewer, elevated tower and pipe routes, elevator, roof opening, trapped house, bunker and blocked Artillery Battery 6 container.

How to organize a no-miss sweep
Start with a written or digital checklist
Mark each of the 26 labels only after opening its crate. Keep separate marks for the Train and Infantry Checkpoint 3 Truck so they cannot be mistaken for fixed checkpoint entries.
Group nearby fixed locations, but keep the special actions visible
Coordinates help you plan a route, while the access notes prevent false positives. A route that passes Base Camp should include the radio-tower climb, Base Camp keypad container and cliffside code check. A route through the logistics areas should distinguish the three Logistics Station entries and remember the generator-and-elevator sequence at Station #100. Do not collapse repeated labels into one checklist item: Logistics Station appears at 615, 142; 668, 183; and 658, 118, and each is a separate crate.
Use the counter as a diagnostic tool
After every pickup, pause long enough to confirm the total. If the count does not change, interact with the container again and check that you opened the correct object. This catches cases where a player reached a location but collected a nearby ordinary supply box instead.
Handle moving objectives before ending the mission
The train and truck are easiest to resolve while you still have time to observe their routes. If you leave the region at 24/26 or 25/26, Mission Select provides the cleanup option, but confirming both mobile caches during the first sweep avoids an unnecessary replay.

The reported reward pool includes supplies, armor plates, equipment, weapons and attachments. Examples are the Sang 9mm silencer, heartbeat sensor, Kastov 762 with extended magazine, Rezi 12 with Enforcer, Akilo AR underbarrel grenade launcher, Type 73 LMG, Akilo AR silencer and Mosin-Nagant with scope.
The rewards are random. Do not route to a named crate expecting that crate to guarantee a specific weapon or attachment. The purpose of the checklist is complete collectible progress; the item received from an individual opening can vary.
Quick completion checklist
- Confirm the mission is Stranded and the target is 26/26.
- Mark all 24 fixed labels at their listed coordinates.
- Open the train crate in the open coach.
- Track and open the roaming convoy-truck crate.
- Enter all eight four-digit codes with leading zeroes preserved.
- Climb the towers and water-tower pipes, use the sewer and elevator routes, clear the trapped house, drop through the roof opening, destroy the wooden obstruction and enter the hidden bunker.
- Use Mission Select for a cleanup run if the counter remains short.
- Stop only when the in-game counter reads 26/26.
Source notes and scope
The 26-crate count, named locations and coordinates are attributed to Prima Games, with the checklist dated October 19, 2026. Procedural details, the 24-fixed/two-mobile split and replay guidance are corroborated by iTechGuides material dated October 18, 2026. Train Brain’s 2026 route index lists 26 Yellow Crates alongside 58 campaign notes. No first-party publisher checklist or official statistic is established for these figures, so the map labels, codes and procedures should be treated as current third-party guide information for the 2026 version of Stranded.
