Mithra is a forthcoming hand-drawn mystery adventure from Seventh Disorder about Kyra, a young woman from Brixton drawn into an investigation connected to Mithraism. Its advertised mix of exploration, layered puzzles, dialogue choices and locations spanning London, Beijing and Rome may appeal to point-and-click adventure fans. The game is not yet available on Steam, where its release date is listed as “to be announced.”
What is Mithra about?
Seventh Disorder describes Mithra as a 2D hand-drawn puzzle adventure. Kyra, a young woman from Brixton in South London, receives a mysterious email and is pulled into an investigation that links her personal history to Mithraism. The developer frames the story around loneliness, corruption, evil and the power people can find collectively. Steam’s description says the choices players make will shape Kyra’s fate and the world.

Mithraism is the historical inspiration for the game’s mystery, not evidence that the story’s claims are historical fact. The game’s “world’s first cult” wording is promotional framing; the sources describing the game do not establish it as a historical finding.

Steam advertises investigative exploration and environmental, logic and audio puzzles. Dialogue choices are also described as affecting revelations and relationships. These are features presented by the developer, not independently tested gameplay, so the available descriptions do not establish puzzle difficulty, pacing or how much any choice changes the story.

Examples of the advertised puzzles
- Examining and opening a taxidermy raven.
- Controlling Kyra as a 3D character trapped inside a television, despite the game otherwise being described as a 2D adventure.
The examples suggest the game intends to vary its puzzle presentation, but the store description does not explain how often such sequences occur or how they work in practice.
Where does the story take place?
The developer names London, Beijing and Rome as settings. Its descriptions emphasize hand-crafted environments, including London streets and Beijing hutongs and back alleys. The game is also advertised with a bespoke soundtrack and adaptive audio; Steam says the soundtrack and sound design react to player actions. These are stated design aims rather than tested impressions.

When does Mithra come out, and what platforms are listed?
At the time of the inspected Steam listing, Mithra was marked “not yet available,” and its release date was “to be announced.” Gamezebo reported a Spring 2027 PC launch in an announcement dated September 18, 2026, but that window does not appear in the inspected Steam date field. Treat Spring 2027 as a reported window, not a confirmed date; check the Steam listing for the current status. Gamezebo’s announcement is the source for the reported window.

Steam identifies Seventh Disorder as both developer and publisher. The listing specifies Windows 10 or later, 2 GB RAM and 500 MB available storage as minimum requirements. It lists English and Simplified Chinese interface support; English is also listed for subtitles, while full voice support is not shown. These are listing details, not a guarantee that final requirements or language support will remain unchanged.

How can you follow the game?
The Steam page offers the option to wishlist the game and request playtest access. In a March 19, 2026 devlog, Seventh Disorder said it was preparing a Kickstarter campaign and invited readers to be notified when it went live. What is still unknown?
The sources do not establish a final release date, price, complete final platform list, final system requirements or finalized language support. They also do not provide a basis for judging the game’s quality or how its puzzles and choices feel in play. Until it is released and can be evaluated, Mithra is best understood through its advertised premise and features rather than as a reviewed game.
