The Miele KM 7464 FL is a built-in induction hob with four cooking zones, one PowerFlex cooking area and a listed total rated load of 7.3 kW. It can suit a kitchen, but only once you have checked the cut-out, the electrical supply, the exact regional model and whether it is still sold where you live. Everything below comes from Miele’s own product pages and data sheets. None of it is independent cooking testing, so treat the power and feature figures as manufacturer claims.
What the KM 7464 FL is
Miele lists the KM 7464 FL as an independent induction hob, meaning it is designed to be installed as a separate unit in a worktop rather than as part of a built-in oven stack. The UK product page describes it as having four cooking zones, one PowerFlex cooking area and room for up to four pans at once. The page’s headline wording highlights the PowerFlex area “for maximum power output”.

Cooking zones and listed power
The UK product page gives three power levels for each listed zone: rated, Booster and TwinBooster. The table reproduces those manufacturer ratings. They describe the maximum output Miele specifies, not measured heat-up times, and they have not been verified in independent tests.

| Right-side PowerFlex area | 3,400 W | 4,800 W | 7,300 W |
The same page lists a PowerFlex bridge measuring 230 × 390 mm. A bridge lets you join zones for a long pan or griddle, but it only helps if your cookware is large enough to span it. Check the bridge dimensions against your pans before you assume it will suit your cooking.

Controls and features
The product page lists the following features. Each is a manufacturer description, and none has been tested for how well it works in use.
ComfortSelect sensor controls, pan recognition, Stop & Go and timer
ComfortSelect is Miele’s sensor-based numeric control system. The page also lists pan recognition, a Stop & Go function that pauses cooking, and a timer. These are standard-type controls for a modern induction hob, but the page does not describe how they behave under heavy use or with unusual cookware.
Rank #2
- PORTABLE INDUCTION BURNER: Duxtop induction cooktop uses 110/120 V 15 amp electrical outlet–standard in all North American homes. ETL listed and built to North American electrical standards. It is lightweight and compact for easy handling and storage
- Choose from 20 preset power levels (100 to 1800 W) and 20 preset temperature level settings (100 °F to 460 °F). With an 83% energy efficiency, induction burner is more efficient than traditional gas or electric stoves
- DIGITAL LCD SENSOR: Touch control panel: child safety lock keeps the cooking and timer settings from being accidentally changed once they have been set; fast boil button; keep warm button (for 1-30 minutes at 140 °F); up to 10-hour timer button
- Induction stoves rely on cookware to heat, so it’s essential to choose magnetic bottom cookware with a minimum diameter of 5 inches. Auto-pan detection will shut off automatically after 60 seconds if no cookware, or the incorrect cookware is detected
- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
TwinBooster
TwinBooster is the highest power setting in the zone table above. It is the figure that matters most if you cook with large volumes of water or need fast searing, but the listed value is the maximum rating, not a sustained output.
Con@ctivity and Miele@home
Miele describes Con@ctivity as automatic communication with a compatible rangehood. The UK page states: “Communication with the rangehood – automatic Con@ctivity function.” Miele@home is listed as the networking option. Whether Con@ctivity works with your hood depends on the hood model, so confirm compatibility with Miele or your hood’s maker before you plan around it. Compatibility in a specific kitchen has not been tested.

Dimensions and installation checks
The UK specification gives these figures:
- Hob width: 620 mm
- Flush-installation cut-out: 624 mm wide × 524 mm deep
- Weight: 11 kg
- Supply lead length: 1.4 m
- Total rated load: 7.300 kW
Before you buy, work through these checks against the installation drawings and instructions for your own market. Miele Australia publishes downloadable installation drawings and instructions for its listing, and comparable documents should be available from the local Miele site.
- Confirm the cut-out and worktop requirements in the installation instructions for your exact model and market, not just the figures above.
- Ask a qualified electrician to confirm that your circuit can support the 7.3 kW total rated load and that the 1.4 m supply lead reaches the connection point without an extension.
- Measure your planned pans against the 230 × 390 mm bridge if you intend to use it.
- If Con@ctivity matters to you, verify hood compatibility before purchase.
- Check that the control layout and sensor touch panel suit everyday use in your kitchen.
Regional variants and availability
The model name does not identify a single worldwide product. Each regional page carries its own material number and EAN (barcode), and the German page lists a different identifier from the UK page. Availability also differs by market. The table records what the pages showed when reviewed for this guide in 2026.

Use the identifier from the exact listing you are buying, and match it to the installation instructions for your country. A stock status on one market’s page says nothing about another’s, and availability can change quickly, so check the local Miele site or an authorised retailer on the day you buy.
What the evidence does not show
- No independent cooking test, heat-up timing, energy measurement, durability result or owner-satisfaction survey was established for this model.
- The power figures are maximum manufacturer ratings for each zone. They do not indicate how quickly a particular pan will heat.
- The UK product page shows one customer review. One review is not representative of reliability or satisfaction.
- Advertised features such as Con@ctivity and Miele@home have not been tested for performance in a real kitchen.
Is it right for your kitchen?
The KM 7464 FL is worth considering if all of the following apply:
- Your worktop and cabinet cut-out match the 624 × 524 mm flush-installation figures in the installation instructions for your market.
- Your electrical supply has been confirmed by a qualified installer as able to carry the 7.3 kW total rated load.
- Your regional listing shows a current stock status, and its material number and EAN match the documentation you have.
- You value the four zones and the PowerFlex area and your cookware suits the 230 × 390 mm bridge.
- Hood communication matters to you only if your hood is confirmed compatible with Con@ctivity.
If any of these checks fails, look at other built-in induction hobs with verified dimensions and power ratings for your market before committing.
Miele’s Con@ctivity wording and power figures are presented here as published by the manufacturer. The article’s conclusions depend on those listings and on the installation checks above, not on independent performance testing.
