Check the app and Microsoft account
Microsoft announced the standalone Microsoft Jewel apps for iOS and Android on September 30, 2026, and says players can sign in with a Microsoft account to track accomplishments and sync progress across the standalone iOS, Android, and PC apps. The announcement also says Xbox Achievements can be earned on mobile. See Microsoft’s launch announcement.

- In the standalone Jewel app, confirm you’re signed in to the Microsoft account associated with the Xbox profile where the achievement should appear.
- If you play on more than one device, check that each standalone app uses the intended account.
- Do not assume an earlier Xbox mobile app experience or another way of opening Jewel has identical achievement support; Microsoft’s announcement documents the standalone apps, not every possible entry point.
Verify the achievement requirement
Open the achievement details and compare its displayed criteria with what you actually completed. Make sure the qualifying action happened in the game on the intended profile; progress on another account may not count toward the achievement you’re checking. Microsoft’s Xbox requirements say achievements should unlock when their criteria are met.
Reconnect to Xbox services and retry
- Check the connection. Make sure the device is online and can reach Xbox services.
- Return to Jewel. After the connection is restored, reopen or return to the game.
- Close and relaunch the app. If the achievement is still locked, fully close Jewel and open it again.
- Repeat the qualifying action if safe. If the achievement criteria allow it without risking progress, perform the action again while connected.
These are cautious troubleshooting steps, not a confirmed Jewel-specific fix. Microsoft’s Xbox certification requirements include cases where achievements fail after a service disconnection, reconnection, or resume from sleep. They describe expected title behavior; they do not promise that reconnecting will repair every player-side problem.

When to contact Microsoft Casual Games support
If you have met the criteria on the correct account, restored connectivity, and retried, report the problem to Microsoft Casual Games support. Include the achievement name, the device and standalone app you used, the Microsoft account or Xbox profile involved, and what you did to meet the criteria. Microsoft’s certification rules treat an achievement that remains locked after its criteria are met as a failure case, so a persistent issue may need investigation or a developer-side correction rather than another action on your device.
Before reinstalling or switching devices
The available Microsoft guidance does not identify reinstalling, changing devices, or waiting a particular number of hours as a Jewel-specific remedy. Before reinstalling, verify that your progress has synced to the intended Microsoft account so you do not risk losing unsynced progress. The documented cross-device sync applies to the standalone iOS, Android, and PC apps; it is not confirmation that every Jewel experience has identical behavior.

What the Xbox requirements do—and do not—mean
Microsoft’s Xbox console certification requirements, version 16.4 dated August 11, 2026, state that achievements should unlock according to their criteria. They also require achievements to be earned through in-game actions, gameplay, or experiences, and say achievements defined by a base title must be earnable without buying additional in-title content. These are developer requirements, not a player-side tool for awarding an achievement manually or a guarantee of a specific fix for a Jewel sync issue.
