The MediaTek Helio G70 is an eight-core, 4G smartphone chipset with two Cortex-A75 performance cores, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, and Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. MediaTek lists the CPU cores at up to 2.0 GHz and 1.7 GHz respectively, and the GPU at up to 820 MHz. Reported benchmark results vary by test version and handset, so no single score represents every G70 phone.

MediaTek Helio G70 specifications

These are platform capabilities listed by MediaTek, not a guarantee that every phone using the G70 implements each feature or reaches every maximum.

Component Specification
CPU Octa-core: 2 × Arm Cortex-A75 up to 2.0 GHz and 6 × Arm Cortex-A55 up to 1.7 GHz
GPU Arm Mali-G52 MC2 up to 820 MHz
Memory LPDDR4x, up to 8 GB capacity and 1800 MHz listed frequency
Storage eMMC 5.1
Display Up to 2520 × 1080 resolution
Video Encoding and playback up to 2K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps
Camera platform Listed support for a 48 MP single camera or dual 16 MP configurations, with features including EIS and rolling-shutter compensation
Cellular 4G LTE, Cat-7 downlink and Cat-13 uplink; dual 4G VoLTE
Wireless and navigation Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo

MediaTek’s product page lists LPDDR4x as the memory type, while its launch infographic also depicts LPDDR3 configurations. Phone makers determine the actual memory and storage configuration. Similarly, the camera and display figures are platform ceilings or supported configurations, not promises about a particular handset’s sensor, panel, or image quality. MediaTek’s specification page provides the current listed platform details; its launch infographic shows the launch-era configuration variation.

What the Helio G70 benchmark results show

Benchmark figures are observations reported for particular tests and devices. AnTuTu and Geekbench versions use different test suites, and the available results are not a controlled comparison of identical phones.

Source and test Reported score Context
NanoReview, AnTuTu 11 317,084 total; CPU 119,757; GPU 36,247; Memory 55,989; UX 105,091 Aggregator-reported result
NanoReview, Geekbench 6 417 single-core; 1,345 multi-core; GPU compute 949 (OpenCL) Aggregator-reported result
NanoReview, 3DMark Wild Life Extreme 181; 98% stability; graphics test 1 FPS Specific graphics workload
91mobiles, AnTuTu 195,041 total; CPU 71,091; GPU 41,061; Memory 40,797; UX 42,092 Version is not stated in the surfaced page extract; 91mobiles calls this its highest recorded score among devices running G70 and says scores come from real-world testing
91mobiles, Geekbench 5 388 single-core; 1,292 multi-core Compilation of real-device results

These figures are attributed to NanoReview and 91mobiles, accessed in 2026. They are source-reported results, not independently repeated measurements. In particular, do not treat the AnTuTu figures as directly comparable: the 91mobiles extract does not identify its AnTuTu version, while NanoReview specifies AnTuTu 11. Geekbench 5 and Geekbench 6 results should likewise stay in separate comparisons.

Gaming results: one handset, not a chipset guarantee

NanoReview lists these game frame rates for the Realme C3, a specific G70 phone. They are not universal predictions for other G70 devices; game version, operating system, settings, cooling, and other handset characteristics affect results.

Game Setting Reported frame rate on Realme C3
PUBG Mobile High 31 FPS
Call of Duty: Mobile Low 30 FPS
Shadowgun Legends Low 52 FPS
World of Tanks Blitz Ultra 52 FPS
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang High 53 FPS

NanoReview notes that the figures can vary with game version, OS, and other factors. A short benchmark or reported in-game frame rate also does not establish sustained performance during a long session.

How to compare the G70 with another chipset

  • Match the benchmark and version. Compare the same benchmark generation and, where possible, the same test protocol. Keep different versions in separate comparisons.
  • Check the whole phone configuration. RAM, storage, display resolution, software, and cooling can change device-level results even when the chipset is the same.
  • Separate peak scores from sustained gaming. The cited sources do not provide a controlled thermal comparison between matched G70 phones.
  • Compare connectivity as well as speed. The G70 platform supports 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 5; MediaTek’s specification page does not list 5G support.
  • Keep graphics tests in context. A GPU benchmark score and game frame rate measure different workloads. Quote the handset and settings alongside an FPS figure.

For one nearby MediaTek comparison, Notebookcheck describes the Helio G80 as having a 100 MHz higher A55 clock and a 130 MHz higher GPU clock than the G70. That is a specification-level comparison, not proof that every G80 handset will outperform every G70 handset in use. Notebookcheck’s Helio G70 reference supplies that comparison.

What MediaTek’s gaming feature claim does—and does not—establish

MediaTek describes HyperEngine as managing CPU, GPU, memory, and network behavior dynamically for games. That is a vendor feature description. The cited material does not independently isolate or quantify HyperEngine’s contribution to performance on a Helio G70 phone.
