What is replacing Marvel Unlimited?
Marvel Comics Powered by WEBTOON is a new digital comics service being developed to replace Marvel Unlimited. Marvel and WEBTOON announced it on October 5, 2026. The service is planned for mobile and web, with a library advertised by its publishers as more than 35,000 comics, including archived titles and current runs. That figure is a publisher claim, not an independently audited count or a complete launch catalog.

The announced library includes Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios comics. The service is intended to support traditional page-based comics as well as vertical-scroll formats. Marvel currently advertises more than 30,000 comics for Marvel Unlimited, so the two figures are not a like-for-like audited catalog comparison. Marvel’s current Marvel Unlimited page and the new service’s official page and FAQ are the places to check for updates.

When does the new Marvel Comics app launch?
The announced launch date is November 16, 2026. Marvel and WEBTOON also said they plan to preview the service at New York Comic Con, October 8–11, 2026, at booth #2435. These are announced plans; the replacement has not launched as of October 7, 2026. The announcement is from WEBTOON Entertainment’s October 5, 2026 release.

How much will the Marvel Comics app cost?
The announced prices are in US dollars and are plus tax. The main difference between the two tiers is how soon new issues become available after print publication.

The Founders Offer is a limited pre-launch offer. You pay before launch, receive a redemption code by email, and redeem it after the service launches. The code expires March 31, 2027, Eastern Time. The subscription automatically renews at $99.99 plus tax per year until canceled. Check that the offer is still available and read its terms before buying. For context, Marvel’s current US Marvel Unlimited page lists $9.99 monthly, $69 annually, and $99 annually for Annual Plus, with applicable tax. The new Base plan’s listed annual price is $0.99 higher than the current service’s listed annual price; the new Ultimate plan costs more in exchange for the announced one-month print-to-digital wait instead of three months. Those prices describe separate services and do not establish what happens to an existing subscriber’s billing.

Can I transfer my Marvel Unlimited library?
You will need to create an account with the new service; Marvel says your existing Marvel Unlimited login will not simply carry over. The official FAQ says readers will be able to import their library, follows, reading history, saved issues, digital purchases, and redeemed comics. It does not say that bookmarks or lists will transfer.
If you depend on bookmarks or custom lists, preserve useful references before moving away from Marvel Unlimited. The reviewed FAQ does not describe a dedicated export process, so do not count on a particular method for saving them.
What happens to my Marvel Unlimited subscription?
Marvel’s FAQ says it will contact current Marvel Unlimited subscribers in the coming weeks with information about subscriptions and next steps. The official material reviewed as of October 7, 2026 does not specify a sunset date for Marvel Unlimited, automatic migration, or refunds. Do not assume that your login or paid plan will convert to the new service. Watch for account-specific instructions and check your renewal settings before making a decision.
What is not confirmed yet?
The official pages reviewed do not specify the replacement’s country-by-country availability, supported operating-system versions, minimum device requirements, offline downloads, or detailed accessibility support. The current Marvel Unlimited app’s requirements should not be treated as requirements for the replacement. Availability and any service terms may also differ by location; the announcement provides US-dollar prices but no country list.
