Reports published October 5, 2026 said its Steam playtest had opened and that players could request access from the game’s Steam page. That status may have changed: Steam’s listing still labels the full game “Coming soon,” so check the live page for the current playtest option.
What is MarchMallows?
Steam describes MarchMallows as an indie strategy game developed and published by Perfect Execution Games. Players place tools, objects and contraptions to clear paths, block hazards, create shortcuts and activate mechanisms so the Marchies can get home. The advertised hazards include grinders, spikes, hammers, rolling rocks and cliffs.

The developer has described it as Lemmings-inspired, with 3D maps, multiplayer, a campaign and a level editor. In its account of co-op, players share tools and have to agree on placements before the Marchies start moving. Those are developer descriptions, not independent gameplay findings.
What does the playtest reportedly include?
COGconnected and Family Friendly Gaming both reported on October 5, 2026 that the playtest was live. COGconnected described a co-op campaign, competitive minigames and a level editor; the reports directed readers to request access through the Steam page. These are reports of the playtest at that time, not a guarantee that it remains open or that every feature is accessible to every participant.

How to check for MarchMallows playtest access
- Open the MarchMallows Steam page and look for a playtest access or request option.
- If Steam offers a request option, use it while signed in to the account where you want to play. The October 5 reports identify the Steam page as the access route, but do not establish whether requests are accepted automatically or by invitation.
- Revisit the page or check your Steam account for an access update. Availability and the process can change; the store listing’s “Coming soon” status describes the game’s release, and does not by itself establish whether a separate playtest is open.
Is MarchMallows co-op?
Yes. Steam advertises online co-op for up to four players, as well as single-player and online PvP. Its description says PvP supports two teams, from 1v1 through 4v4, over five rounds. Steam also advertises a level editor, while the October 5 coverage reported player-created puzzle content in the playtest.
The mode list suggests the game is intended to cover solo puzzles, cooperative planning and team competition. The store description and reports do not establish how well those modes play in practice.

PC system requirements listed on Steam
Steam lists the following Windows requirements. Check the live listing before installing, as system requirements and platform details can be revised.

|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit) | Windows 10 (64-bit) |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX-8350 | Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD FX-9590 |

Steam also notes that its client has supported Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024. That client requirement matters if you are considering the listing’s older minimum operating-system entry: meeting a game’s stated minimum does not override the Steam client’s current platform support.
