The final Daliganj–Pucca Pul railway overbridge was reported nearly ready on October 3, 2026, but its opening had not been confirmed. If it opens as planned, the nearly one-kilometre link could make the 13.5-kilometre Green Corridor stretch between IIM Road and Samta Mulak continuous. The junction near Teele Wali Masjid may still constrain traffic: a proposed intersection layout was pending parallel bridge and approach-road work, while a boundary wall reduced available road space.
When is the final Green Corridor link expected to open?
Hindustan Times reported on October 3, 2026, that the final railway overbridge connecting Daliganj with Pucca Pul, near Teele Wali Masjid, was almost ready. The report did not give a confirmed opening date, and it does not establish whether the bridge has since opened. Treat the connection as a planned, rather than verified, opening.

The newspaper described the bridge as nearly one kilometre long. Once open, it is expected to close the last gap in the 13.5-kilometre route from IIM Road to Samta Mulak. Both figures are as reported by Hindustan Times; its report did not cite an underlying LDA project document. Hindustan Times report
What parts of Phase 2 were already complete?
The final railway overbridge was described as the last major component of Phase 2. Hindustan Times reported that the Mankameshwar Road–Suraj Kund Park bridge and two elevated rotaries were complete and inaugurated. The newspaper put the Phase 2 project cost at around ₹209 crore; that figure is its reporting, not a cost confirmed here from an LDA project document. Hindustan Times report on Phase 2 works

Why could Pucca Pul remain a bottleneck?
The junction plan was waiting on parallel bridge work
The LDA had reportedly prepared an intersection arrangement near Teele Wali Masjid and Pucca Pul. It was intended to let IIM Road traffic turn toward Sitapur Road while traffic for Old Lucknow and Daliganj continued along the corridor. The authority had not put the arrangement in place while the Bridge Corporation was building a parallel bridge. Soil filling and other work on the approach road also remained. The layout depends on how traffic is redirected
Officials expected the new bridge to change traffic flows. Hindustan Times reported that the heritage Pucca Pul was expected to face vehicle restrictions, with traffic shifted to the new bridge, and that the LDA wanted the junction design to account for that arrangement. The report did not confirm that restrictions had taken effect or specify when they might begin. Hindustan Times report on expected traffic changes

A boundary wall narrows the available road space
The report also identified a boundary wall extending into the usable road area. Officials said moving it inward by a few inches would make the intended alignment possible; they were concerned that leaving the reduced width in place could cause congestion. It did not confirm that the wall had been moved. Hindustan Times report on the boundary wall

What commuters should take from the report
- Connectivity: the final bridge was reported nearly ready, and opening it was expected to make the IIM Road–Samta Mulak stretch continuous; neither an opening date nor a completed route was confirmed.
- Junction operation: the proposed turns and traffic separation depended on completing parallel bridge approach work and integrating the intersection plan with anticipated changes at Pucca Pul.
- Road width: the wall’s position was a separate unresolved constraint that officials linked to possible congestion.
LDA secretary Sushil Pratap Singh was reported as assessing that the new connectivity would ease traffic movement and help thousands of commuters. That is an attributed assessment, not a measured outcome. Hindustan Times report on the LDA secretary’s assessment

The October 3, 2026 Hindustan Times report is a contemporaneous account, not an official LDA release. It does not establish the bridge’s actual opening, a completion schedule for the parallel bridge, the eventual traffic restrictions at heritage Pucca Pul, or whether the boundary wall was shifted. Those outcomes require confirmation from the LDA or traffic authorities.
