Where the rally took place
Hindustan Times identifies the venue as Mannanhana village. Babushahi’s October 2, 2026 report describes the event as a rally at Chabbewal in Hoshiarpur. The reports describe the venue differently, so the precise location should not be treated as consistently identified across both accounts.

What Badal said at the rally
Allegations against the AAP government
Hindustan Times reported that Badal accused the AAP government of corruption and called for an Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation into alleged activity involving postings and transfers and illegal mining. Babushahi also reported his allegation that public money was being spent on publicity hoardings and his demand for an ED probe into alleged illegal mining. These are claims attributed to Badal, not findings established by the reports.

Babushahi’s account repeats Badal’s estimate of roughly ₹500 crore spent on publicity hoardings. That amount is an allegation, not an independently verified government expenditure figure.
Conditional proposals for the Kandi region
Badal said that if SAD formed the government, it would establish a Kandi area development ministry, build an expressway linking Pathankot with Chandigarh through the Kandi belt, and offer a special industrial package that included incentives such as cheaper power for new investors. These were campaign proposals, not confirmation that the projects had been approved or built.

How the rally name is reported
Hindustan Times uses “Punjab Bachaho” in its description of the rally, while its headline says “Punjab Bachao.” Babushahi also calls it a “Punjab Bachao” rally.
