There is also an important buying caveat: Loupedeck announced in March 2025 that it had stopped selling its product line, with remaining stock to be sold through authorized retailers while supplies lasted.
What the Loupedeck Live S does
The Live S puts software commands on a physical desk controller. Loupedeck describes it as a way to operate streaming, creative and productivity applications, including scene and source changes, audio adjustments, muting and lighting controls. You can assign actions, macros, toggles and dial adjustments to controls and create custom profiles. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not results from independent testing. Who should consider it—and what to check first
It may be a fit if you want physical controls for actions you currently trigger with a mouse or keyboard, and your essential apps have supported integrations. The Live S’s appeal is the combination of touch controls, dials and multiple pages in a compact USB-connected unit. Whether that arrangement is useful depends on your own scene, audio and application workflow; no reviewed official source establishes independent performance, reliability, adoption or comparative-value findings.

Loupedeck lists integrations including OBS, Twitch, Streamlabs (Windows), Voicemod (Windows), vMix, Ecamm, Philips Hue, Spotify Premium, and Adobe, Final Cut Pro, Capture One and Ableton applications. Do not assume every integration works on every operating system or software edition: some are explicitly platform-specific, and plugin availability can change. Check the official product listing and current software information for the app and platform you use.
Connection and box contents
The product listing specifies Windows 10 or later or macOS 10.15 or later, internet access to download Loupedeck software, and a USB-C or USB-A connection. Listed in the box are a two-metre USB-C cable with USB-A adapter, a detachable stand set at 35 degrees, and quick-start and legal guides. These are manufacturer-listed requirements and contents; verify the listing for the particular unit and seller, especially if buying used or remaining stock.

How do I set up Loupedeck Live S with OBS?
Loupedeck’s OBS guide documents version-specific pairings and basic action assignment. Treat its version guidance as a compatibility reference, not a universal current recipe: Loupedeck later urged users to update from legacy software 5.8 to 6.2.4. Check the current official downloads and compatibility information before installing or changing versions.
- Check your OBS and Loupedeck software versions. The OBS setup guide says OBS Studio 28.0 or newer should be paired with Loupedeck software 5.3, while OBS 27 or earlier should use compatible Loupedeck 5.2 software. These are the pairings stated in that support article; confirm current compatibility before relying on them.
- Install the applicable Loupedeck software from the current official download source, connect the Live S over USB, and open both the Loupedeck software and OBS. Internet access is required to download Loupedeck software.
- Assign a control. In Loupedeck software, drag an action from the action panel onto a dial or button. Some actions need additional setup, as the support guide notes.
- Test the assigned action in OBS. Confirm it operates the intended scene, source or other function before relying on it during a live broadcast. Organize controls by the actions you need quickly and use the layout buttons or swipeable pages for additional controls.
If OBS does not connect
- The OBS icon has a red dot: open OBS.
- The red dot remains while OBS is running: restart Loupedeck software, as the support guide recommends.
- An action is missing or does not behave as expected: check whether that action requires extra setup, and confirm the Loupedeck/OBS versions and integration compatibility.
Streamlabs Desktop setup: check the software generation
Loupedeck’s Streamlabs Desktop guide describes a workflow for its 5.8 plugin. In that workflow, assign actions by dragging them to a dial or button. Streamlabs Desktop must run in the background for dynamic scene and source folders to appear and sync. The guide describes a yellow connection indicator for its newer plugin and a red one for older plugin versions.

That procedure needs a current-status caveat. On March 26, 2026, Loupedeck announced that support for legacy software 5.8 and its marketplace would end effective March 30, 2026 because required cloud services were unavailable. The company said users on 5.8 would no longer be able to download and install new plugins from the legacy marketplace and urged users to upgrade to 6.2.4. Therefore, confirm your software build and current plugin path before following instructions written specifically for 5.8; do not assume the legacy marketplace remains available.

On March 28, 2025, Loupedeck announced it would stop selling its product line and focus on the Logitech MX Creative Console and its ecosystem. It said remaining Loupedeck inventory would continue through authorized retailers while supplies lasted. That announcement does not establish current stock, a current price, or the condition of a particular listing; check the retailer and seller directly.

The same announcement said warranty claims and technical support would continue as usual, and that owners would be able to use future software updates and plugins developed for the Creative Console through the shared backend introduced in software release 6.0. The company wrote, “This does not mean we are ending support for Loupedeck products.” Those statements describe what Loupedeck announced on March 28, 2025; they should not be read as a guarantee about present inventory or future support. The 2026 notice about legacy 5.8 and its marketplace is a separate software-support change.
The Loupedeck Live is a related but different controller, not another name for the Live S. Its product page lists six analog dials, eight tactile buttons, two touch bars and 12 touch-sensitive buttons. That gives a limited control-layout comparison, but the reviewed sources do not establish current comparative pricing or availability for either device.
