If a Livepush playlist broadcast has no sound on YouTube, first check whether YouTube is muted on your device or whether the silence is limited to the Livepush stream. Play another YouTube video on the same device, try the affected stream on another device, and compare the playlist items. Those checks help identify where to focus without assuming a particular cause.
1. Check YouTube, browser, and device sound
- Check the YouTube player. Make sure the player is not muted and its volume is turned up.
- Check browser and device volume. Confirm the browser tab or app is not muted, the device volume is up, and the intended audio output is selected. YouTube’s guidance is: “Make sure that sound/volume is turned on for your browser or device.” See YouTube’s no-sound troubleshooting guidance.
- Play a different YouTube video on the same device. If it is silent too, focus on the device’s sound settings, browser or app, and audio output before changing anything in Livepush.
- Restart the browser or device. If general YouTube playback is affected, YouTube also recommends updating or restarting the browser or device and trying another supported device. Its general playback troubleshooting notes that network congestion can affect live programming; it does not identify congestion as a specific cause of silent audio.
2. Find out whether the silence is in one playlist item or the whole stream
Compare the affected item with the other videos in the Livepush playlist. If only one item is silent, check that source video by playing it separately and confirming it has audible sound. This is an isolation check, not a confirmed Livepush-specific diagnosis: Livepush’s published guidance does not describe a particular source-file audio diagnostic.

If every item is silent, or the full broadcast has no sound even when other YouTube videos play normally, move on to the destination and stream checks. Livepush describes playlist streaming as videos queued to play back-to-back in one continuous broadcast. It also says uploaded videos are re-encoded to common constant encoding parameters to reduce glitches, freezes, or drops at transitions. That description is not a promise that re-encoding repairs missing audio. See Livepush’s playlist-streaming explanation.

- Open the stream dashboard and inspect the destination configured for the broadcast.
- Confirm it is the intended YouTube channel and live event, not another saved destination.
- Check that the destination is saved and enabled.
Livepush’s YouTube setup guide describes linking an account, choosing a channel and new live event, saving the destination, and toggling it on. It explains destination setup; it does not document a special audio-repair setting.

4. Use the results to narrow down the problem
- Other YouTube videos are silent on the same device: Check the player, browser or app, device output, and sound settings first; then restart or update the browser or device.
- Other YouTube videos have sound, but only one playlist item does not: Inspect that source video’s playback and audio. The available Livepush guidance does not establish a specific codec, track, or encoding cause.
- Other YouTube videos have sound, but the whole Livepush broadcast is silent: Verify the saved and enabled YouTube destination. Try the stream on another supported device to rule out a playback-device issue.
- The broadcast is silent across devices after those checks: Contact Livepush support rather than guessing at an encoder or audio-track setting.
5. What to send Livepush support
If the silence is limited to the Livepush broadcast across devices, provide the YouTube stream URL, the affected playlist item (or say that all items are affected), the time you observed the issue, the configured destination or event, and the checks you have already tried. This gives support concrete details to investigate. The published guidance consulted here does not identify a definitive audio-track or codec setting behind this symptom, and it does not establish a current service outage.
