To install an LG OLED TV stand, first find the TV’s complete model number and follow that model’s owner’s manual. LG OLED stand parts, orientation, attachment points, and screw specifications can vary, so don’t rely on instructions or hardware from a different television.
Before you begin, confirm the exact model and parts
- Find the complete model number. Check the label on the television or its packaging, then open the matching owner’s manual or official LG support page.
- Check the manual’s assembly instructions. Confirm which stand parts to use, how they should face, where they attach, and which screws the model requires.
- Gather the approved hardware. Use the stand and screws supplied with the TV, or parts LG explicitly approves for that exact model. A stand that looks similar—or a replacement listing for another size or series—is not proof of compatibility.
LG’s OLED55B3PSA safety instructions say not to apply oils or lubricants to screw parts and not to use unapproved items. Treat those as safety guidance, not as a universal stand-installation sequence.

Install the stand using your model’s instructions
- Prepare a stable, clear work area. If your manual directs you to lay the TV down, use a clean, flat, cushioned surface to protect the screen. Follow the manual for the correct orientation; do not assume every LG OLED should be positioned the same way.
- Align the stand parts as shown in the manual. Match the specified parts to their attachment points and orientation before inserting screws.
- Fit and tighten every specified screw. Tighten securely without forcing the screws or overtightening. LG warns that missing or incompletely tightened screws can allow the TV to tilt or tip, while excessive tightening can damage the screw joint.
- Set the TV on a suitable support. Use a platform or cabinet strong and large enough to support it securely, and take steps to prevent the television from overturning.
Why you should not copy another TV’s screw specifications
Screw size and count are model-specific. For example, an older LG 55LF5700/65LF5700 manual lists four screws, with M5 x 22 mm for the 55-inch model and M6 x 25 mm for the 65-inch model. Those specifications apply to those models; they are not instructions for current LG OLED televisions. Use only the screw details in the manual for your exact TV.

If you’re replacing the stand
Verify the replacement against the complete TV model and screen size before ordering, then confirm its supplied hardware and installation instructions. For instance, LG’s US support page lists the SA-G5SN55 stand for 55-inch-class OLED evo G6 and G5 televisions. That is a limited compatibility example, not a general fit for other LG OLED models.

If you meant wall-mounting the TV
A wall mount is a different installation from an assembled stand. LG’s wall-mounting guidance, dated 2025-07-09, says the method depends on the TV, bracket, wall type, and installation environment, and recommends professional installation to help avoid damage. Consult the instructions for your exact model and compatible mount.
