Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →If your Lenovo Yoga touchscreen has stopped responding, first confirm that your exact configuration has a touch display. If it does, check whether Windows has disabled the touchscreen, then follow the driver steps for your model and Windows version. A screen that registers touches on its own needs a slightly different first check: clean it gently, then continue with software and hardware diagnosis if ghost touch persists.
First, confirm your Yoga has a touchscreen
“Yoga” covers many models and configurations; the family name alone does not identify the installed display or the right driver. Find your full model or machine type and Windows version before downloading drivers or considering replacement parts.

In Windows, open System and check the Pen and Touch information. Lenovo says the message “No pen or touch input is available for this display” indicates that the LCD does not support touch. The wording for a touch-capable display can vary, so confirm the configuration against the specifications or user guide for your exact machine if needed. Lenovo’s Windows 10 and 11 guidance
Check whether Windows has disabled touch input
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices and look for HID-compliant touch screen. If you do not see it, select View > Show hidden devices.
- If the device is disabled, enable it, then restart the computer.
If the touchscreen entry is absent even after showing hidden devices, do not assume a particular cause: the configuration, driver detection, or hardware may need further investigation.

Update, reinstall, or roll back the touchscreen driver
When touch hardware is present but Windows does not respond to it, work through the driver options in order. Use a package intended for the exact Yoga model and operating system; a driver for one Yoga is not necessarily right for another. Lenovo’s general touchscreen troubleshooting instructions cover Windows 10 and 11.
- In Device Manager, right-click HID-compliant touch screen and choose the option to update its driver. Restart Windows and test the screen.
- If touch still fails, uninstall the touchscreen device, then install the appropriate touchscreen driver from Lenovo Support for your machine and operating system. Restart and test again.
- If the issue started after a driver change and the rollback option is available, open the device’s Properties > Driver tab and choose Roll Back Driver.
If the problem began after a Windows update, check Device Manager for an unknown device or a warning symbol and identify it using your exact machine details. Lenovo has separate guidance for an unknown device after an update on the ThinkPad X1 Yoga 20FQ/20FR running Windows 10 64-bit; that model-specific article does not establish a fix for other Yoga models or Windows versions. If the screen registers touches by itself
Unintended or “ghost” touches are different from a screen that does not register any input. Begin with a gentle screen cleaning consistent with your device’s care instructions; Lenovo lists dirt as a possible contributor. Cleaning is a check, not proof that a driver or failed panel has been repaired. If ghost touches continue, proceed with model-appropriate software checks and diagnostics.

Use firmware fixes only when they match your model
Firmware and specialist-driver instructions are not universal Yoga remedies. Confirm the machine type, operating system, and any panel requirement Lenovo specifies before applying a package.

- Lenovo’s ghost-touch firmware guidance is for the Yoga 3-1470 and Yoga 700 14ISK under the stated conditions. For the Yoga 3-1470, the guidance requires confirming an LG panel and says the firmware applies only to that panel. Do not use it for another panel or a different Yoga model. - Lenovo lists a touchscreen firmware update tool for the 13w Yoga Gen 2, machine types 82YR and 82YS, for Windows 11. Lenovo lists the package release date as 5 August 2024; this is a model- and operating-system-specific package, not a general Yoga update. 13w Yoga Gen 2 touchscreen firmware listing
Run available diagnostics, then decide whether to seek repair
Some Lenovo Yoga models support a hardware scan in Lenovo Vantage or diagnostics in UEFI. Lenovo’s maintenance manual for selected Yoga 7a/Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition models lists possible UEFI tests including Touch and Display; test availability depends on the model. Consult the manual for your machine rather than assuming every Yoga includes the same diagnostic. Selected Yoga 7a/Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition hardware maintenance manual
If the touchscreen remains unavailable after the applicable checks, contact Lenovo Support or a qualified repair provider. The correct replacement component—if one is needed—depends on the exact machine configuration, and warranty coverage depends on the device, region, and warranty status.
