If a LEGO Batman set is missing a piece or contains a damaged one, start with LEGO’s official replacement service. Find the set number on the box or instructions, then choose the route that matches the problem: Missing Pieces for a piece absent from the set, or Broken Bricks for a piece that arrived cracked, broken, or damaged.
Identify the LEGO Batman set and the problem
Locate the set name or number on its box or in the building instructions. The exact Batman set matters because LEGO’s request form uses the set number to help identify the relevant piece.

- Missing from a new set: the piece was absent when you opened the set.
- Damaged in a new set: the piece arrived cracked, broken, or otherwise defective.
- Lost later: the part was included, but went missing after the set was opened or built.
Request a piece that was missing from the box
Use LEGO’s Missing Pieces service and follow the prompts for your region. LEGO’s US customer-service overview says replacement pieces can be requested free of charge; the exact process and availability may depend on your location and the part. If pieces are missing from more than one set, LEGO says to submit a separate request for each set.

Report a piece that arrived damaged
For a cracked, broken, or damaged piece in a brand-new set, use LEGO’s Broken Bricks route. Search with the set number and describe the defect clearly. LEGO’s help page says its guiding motto has always been “Only the best is good enough.”

Keep the damaged piece and any receipt. LEGO may ask to inspect the piece more closely and may occasionally request proof of purchase. The cited US request form is for adults; LEGO’s delivery details say children should use a parent or guardian’s information.
If the piece was lost later or the set is older
A part lost after opening the box is different from one that was missing on arrival. Check LEGO’s replacement-parts and Pick a Brick route to see whether the component can be bought. LEGO notes that parts for older sets may run out, so the exact piece may not be available through LEGO.

If LEGO does not have the part, LEGO’s guidance for older sets points to fan sites and other retailers as possible alternatives. Listings may be for new or used pieces. Match the precise element and color against the instructions or part you are replacing; a similar-looking generic brick may not work in the intended build.
If the missing item is the instruction booklet
If the bricks are present but the booklet is missing or damaged, use LEGO’s building-instructions section to find free digital PDF instructions. LEGO says a replacement physical copy may be available when instructions were missing or damaged on receipt.
