How much investment has Leeds attracted?
Leeds Digital’s July 2024 ecosystem snapshot reports that companies raised £69.6 million across 44 fundraisings in 2023, described in the report as a record after five years of upward investment activity. This is a historical, one-year figure—not a current annual run rate or a direct comparison with other UK hubs.

Optalysys raised £21 million in July 2023, representing 30.2% of the 2023 total in that analysis. The report also names Mercia Asset Management and Northern Gritstone among investors and describes support routes including accelerators, AD:VENTURE, Business and IP Centre Leeds, and Barclays Eagle Labs. It identifies access to early-stage funding and attracting and retaining talent as ongoing challenges.
