Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThere is no single setting that fixes every Larix Broadcaster disconnect on Airtel mobile data. First check whether Larix stopped publishing, YouTube is receiving an unhealthy stream, or playback failed after YouTube received the video. Compare Larix’s status with YouTube Live Control Room during a short private or unlisted test; then check the stream destination, sustainable upload bitrate, Larix reconnection controls and Airtel’s local network status.
Why does my Larix stream keep disconnecting on Airtel data?
The symptom alone does not identify the cause. The failure may be in Larix’s publishing connection, the mobile uplink, YouTube’s ingest or stream health, or playback after YouTube has accepted the stream. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses Live Control Room and requires the encoder’s server URL and stream key (YouTube Help: stream with an encoder).

Locate the point of failure first
- Start a brief private or unlisted test stream so you can observe it without making a public broadcast.
- Watch Larix Broadcaster and YouTube Live Control Room at the same time. Note the exact Larix status or error and YouTube’s stream-health message, including when each changes.
- If Larix reports a publishing disconnect, investigate its destination, app/device and outbound connection. If YouTube continues receiving video but flags stream health, examine the stream setup and actual output. If YouTube reports a healthy incoming stream while viewers cannot play it, the problem is downstream of Larix publishing.
Do not assume Airtel is responsible just because the stream uses Airtel data. The paired observations help narrow the problem before you change settings.

Open the setup for the intended live stream in YouTube Live Control Room and verify its current server URL and stream key. Copy those values into Larix rather than relying on an old saved key or a URL from a different stream. YouTube’s encoder instructions specify entering the server URL and stream key in the encoder (YouTube Help).

Make sure you are checking the stream you actually started. If the destination values are correct and YouTube still does not receive video, return to the simultaneous Larix/Live Control Room check and investigate the publishing connection and mobile uplink. The available information does not establish that a particular RTMP/RTMPS choice, key error or codec causes this Airtel-specific symptom.
Is my upload bitrate too high for Airtel mobile data?
It may be, but a speed-test peak is not proof that the phone can sustain the chosen live output. During a representative test, check Larix’s outgoing bitrate and YouTube’s stream-health information. If the connection cannot sustain the output, reduce video bitrate, resolution or frame rate and test again. Softvelum documents adaptive-bitrate modes for Larix, but neither its documentation nor YouTube’s mobile-encoder guidance establishes one bitrate that suits every Airtel location, handset or stream.

Use the stream itself to judge capacity
- Note whether Larix’s actual outgoing bitrate holds steady or fluctuates as the disconnect approaches.
- Compare that behavior with YouTube’s stream-health status at the same time.
- Change one output factor at a time where practical, then run another short test. This makes it easier to tell whether a lower bitrate, resolution or frame rate improves stability.
- Do not treat one successful speed test or one brief connection as proof that the mobile uplink will remain stable throughout a longer broadcast.
Larix supports adaptive-bitrate modes, but available controls and labels can vary by app version and platform. Check the documentation for the installed build rather than assuming a menu path or value applies to every phone (Softvelum Larix FAQ).
Will Larix reconnect after mobile data drops?
Larix has configurable reconnection behavior; the exact controls depend on platform and app version. Softvelum documents a reconnect timeout and a “Don’t check network presence” option. Its FAQ also lists iOS-specific controls for reconnect without network timeout, idle timeout and unsent threshold. In particular, on iOS, a reconnect timeout set to “Never” means Larix will not reconnect. Check the installed app’s settings and Softvelum’s current guidance before changing them (Softvelum Larix FAQ).

Check the controls that affect recovery
- Review Larix’s reconnect timeout and confirm it is not set to “Never” if you expect automatic reconnection.
- If you use iOS, review the additional reconnect and stalled-stream controls documented for iOS. Their values can affect how Larix handles a lost network or unsent video.
- During a test, note whether Larix reconnects after data briefly drops and whether YouTube resumes receiving video. That distinguishes a retry issue from a continuing weak or unavailable uplink.
Do not copy a setting value from another device without checking the platform and Larix version. Softvelum’s documentation describes controls; it does not establish one universal setting for every disconnect.
Check Airtel coverage and local network conditions
Use Airtel Open Network to view coverage, run data diagnostics, see personalized tips and check local outage information. Airtel describes its coverage view as an outdoor estimate; actual service can differ with location and surroundings. A coverage map does not guarantee stable indoor upload capacity for live video.

Check the same place and approximate time where the stream fails. If Larix disconnects while local Airtel service is unstable or an outage is reported, the carrier connection may be involved. If coverage appears available, that alone does not rule out fluctuating upload or a local indoor signal problem.
Try basic phone and mobile-data checks
Airtel’s general 4G troubleshooting guidance recommends basic connectivity checks. These are not Larix-specific fixes, but they can help determine whether the phone’s data connection is the issue (Airtel 4G troubleshooting).

Quick diagnosis: match the symptom to the next check
| What you observe | What to check next |
|---|---|
| Larix reports a publishing disconnect | Verify the destination values, Larix’s reconnection behavior and the phone’s outbound mobile-data connection. |
| YouTube receives video but flags stream health | Compare actual output and outgoing bitrate with sustained uplink performance; test a reduced resolution, frame rate or bitrate. |
| YouTube reports a healthy incoming stream, but playback fails | The symptom is downstream of Larix publishing; use Live Control Room’s status to continue diagnosing rather than treating it as a Larix disconnect. |
| Larix does not resume after a brief data loss | Check reconnect settings in the installed app, including the iOS timeout setting if applicable, then test recovery again. |
| Failures recur at a particular place or time | Check Airtel Open Network diagnostics and outage information for that location and contact the carrier with the times and places if tests continue to implicate the connection. |
