Komen’s audited financial statements show how it spent funds across the organization in fiscal year 2025, but they do not assign a fixed share of each individual Walk donation to each program.
What MORE THAN PINK Walk donations support
Komen describes the Walk proceeds as supporting its mission, including research, patient care, education and advocacy. Its audited statements identify the MORE THAN PINK Walk series, together with Race for the Cure, as a significant source of revenue. The statements do not publish a standard percentage split for each Walk or trace every donor’s gift directly to a particular expense.

What Komen reported spending in FY2025
Komen’s audited consolidated financial statements report organization-wide expenses for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025. The figures below are expenses across Komen, not a breakdown of the proceeds from one event or one donor’s contribution.

Komen reported total expenses of $141,924,509 before separately displayed direct benefits to donors and sponsors. Fundraising and administrative expenses are part of the organization’s reported costs; gross donations should not be understood as funds all immediately spent on direct services.
How Komen’s programs help
Patient care
Komen says its patient-care work includes navigation, screening, diagnosis and treatment services. It delivers support directly, through grants to nonprofit organizations and through third-party contracts, with attention to communities facing significant disparities or limited access to care. Its Patient Care Center provides breast-health and breast-cancer information, support and resources.
Research
Research is one of the program-service categories in Komen’s audited statements. Those statements report the organization-wide FY2025 research expense above; they do not identify a research share for a particular Walk.

Advocacy
Komen’s advocacy work supports legislative, regulatory and other policy solutions related to patient protections, access to high-quality care and funding for breast cancer research.
Education
Komen’s event announcements include education among the mission areas supported by Walk proceeds. The audited financial statement lists research, patient care and advocacy as program-service expense categories; it does not provide a separate education expense amount in the figures above.

- Missouri, FY2025: Komen reported assisting 409 patients, including $163,200 in financial assistance for eligible people in active treatment or living with metastatic breast cancer.
- Florida, FY2025: Komen reported assisting 2,146 patients, including $431,200 in financial assistance for eligible people in active treatment or living with metastatic breast cancer.
- Florida, FY2026: Komen reported that its Patient Care Center provided 1,535 navigation services to 1,027 people, and that 816 people received $403,100 in direct financial assistance. It also reported more than 9,000 financial-assistance inquiries and nearly $3 million secured from 230 external sources for needs including transportation, housing, food and medical expenses.
The FY2026 Florida figures are specific to Florida and do not establish a national total or an amount attributable to the Tampa Bay Walk.

What you can—and cannot—tell from the published figures
- You can see Komen’s organization-wide program and supporting-service expenses for FY2025 in its audited statements.
- You can see examples of patient services and assistance Komen reported in particular states and fiscal years.
- You cannot use those figures to calculate a fixed percentage of an individual Walk donation that goes to each program, or to determine the net proceeds of a specific event.
