It bundles three collections of games and content, but the physical editions require an internet download. The platform-specific Keyblades are in-game bonuses—not evidence of retailer-exclusive physical gifts. An alleged Amazon poster extra is not verified by the sources available.
When does KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] come out?
Square Enix announced an October 8, 2026 release for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Microsoft Store on Windows. The publisher cautions that store availability and release timing can vary by region. Best Buy lists the PS5 edition with the same date; Walmart also lists a PS5 edition. Square Enix’s announcement is the source for the date and platform details; check a local store listing for availability where you live.

What is included in the collection?
The package combines three previously released offerings. Square Enix says they are also available individually, so buyers should check that they are purchasing the collection rather than one component.
- KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-
- KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
- KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind, including the Re Mind DLC
The bundle contents are listed in Square Enix’s announcement and its KINGDOM HEARTS product information.

- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] Amazon Exclusive Edition includes a double-sided poster.
- A value packed bundle featuring three collections: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).
- This product is also included in other bundle sets. Please ensure you do not purchase the same content more than once.
- Platform-exclusive Keyblade "Long Night" included with purchase!
- GAME-KEY CARD. 128 GB – Full game download via internet required.
Does the physical version require a download?
Yes. Square Enix says an internet connection is required to download additional data for the physical collection. That means the physical package is not a fully playable offline copy straight from the box. Walmart specifically describes its PS5 edition as a 128 GB game-key card and says the full game download requires internet. The size is the card’s stated capacity, not a claim about the final download size. See Square Enix’s physical-version notice and Walmart’s listing.
Which Keyblade comes with each platform?
Square Enix identifies different in-game Keyblades by platform. Eligibility depends on buying a specified digital or physical version of the collection, or digital KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind, as applicable to the platform; check the offer terms for the edition you intend to buy.

The names and platform distinctions come from Square Enix’s announcement. Microsoft Store on Windows is among the announced release platforms; the announcement names the Steam Keyblade separately, so do not assume that Steam’s bonus applies to a Microsoft Store purchase.

The verified listings and announcement do not establish a retailer-only physical gift. Walmart’s PS5 listing mentions Long Night, but Square Enix assigns that in-game Keyblade to the Switch 2 platform, and Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing also mentions it. These references support the platform bonus, not a Walmart-exclusive item. Best Buy lists the PS5 collection, but the examined listing does not substantiate an exclusive physical extra. Walmart, Best Buy and Nintendo’s listing should be checked directly for current offer details.

The claim that Amazon has an exclusive poster or other extra is unresolved: no live Amazon product page confirming it is established here. What should you check before buying?
- Platform: confirm the listing is for your console or the Windows storefront you use.
- Collection versus individual game: verify the product includes all three listed components.
- Physical-play expectations: if you need to play offline without downloading, this physical collection does not meet that requirement.
- Bonus terms: distinguish the platform Keyblade from a retailer-specific physical gift, and verify any claimed extra on the seller’s live listing.
- Local timing and availability: Square Enix says these can vary by region; the announced date does not guarantee identical availability everywhere.
