Probably not in the way the question suggests. STAR WARS: Galactic Racer is a racing-first game built around the Galactic League, a pilot named Shade, and high-speed vehicle classes that include podracers. Official material does not establish that Jar Jar Binks appears in the game, so the honest comparison is a possible taste overlap, not a promise of Jar Jar content. If you enjoy the playful, lighter corners of Star Wars and want a competitive racing game, the game may suit you. If Jar Jar himself is the draw, the sources give you no reason to expect him.
What the game is
STAR WARS: Galactic Racer is set after the fall of the Empire, while the New Republic is rebuilding. The official game site describes the Galactic League as an unsanctioned Outer Rim racing circuit in which syndicates sponsor pilots and racers compete for fortune and reputation. You play as Shade, a lone racer chasing revenge and glory.

The premise is racing first. The vehicle roster is the clearest signal of that focus:
- Podracers, the craft most closely tied to the franchise’s prequel-era racing history
- Landspeeders
- Speeder bikes
- Skim speeders
The official description lists two modes: a story-driven solo campaign and strategic PvP grudge matches. An Xbox Wire preview published June 23, 2026 described an author’s roughly one-hour hands-on account covering campaign and arcade modes. That is a preview account, not a review, and it does not establish how the game performs over a full playthrough.

The official edition page still carries some pre-order wording even though the game is now out, so treat its purchase language as dated. Prices vary by retailer and change over time, so check the current listing before buying.

Where a Jar Jar fan might find common ground
The strongest link is the franchise’s racing lineage. In a StarWars.com interview with Fuse Games, the developers described racing as an inspiration for George Lucas, a central element of The Phantom Menace, and the foundation for the classic Star Wars: Episode I: Racer. Jar Jar’s film is the source of that prequel-era racing memory, so readers who associate Jar Jar with the podrace sequence may feel a familiar pull toward this game.

Lucasfilm Games VP and GM Douglas Reilly described the studio’s broader approach this way: “One of the great things about Star Wars is that it can be a perfect fit for many genres and audiences. We are always looking for new and creative ways to revisit genres fans have enjoyed in the past and find unique expressions in the future.” That statement is about Lucasfilm Games’ general strategy, not a commitment about this title’s audience.
What the sources do not establish
- Jar Jar’s appearance. The reviewed official material does not say whether he appears, so do not assume he is included, absent, or prominent.
- Humor. No source compares the game’s tone with Jar Jar’s character-driven comedy.
- Audience fit. No independent study or audience statistic addresses whether Jar Jar fans will enjoy the game.
- Steam review numbers. The storefront displays a user-review count and positive share, but that figure is self-selected and changes over time. It does not answer the taste question.
Absence of a mention in official material is a limit of the available sources, not proof that a character is missing.

- You want a single-player story with Shade’s revenge arc, plus competitive PvP grudge matches.
- You are fine with a Star Wars setting that leans toward Outer Rim criminal racing rather than the Jedi-centered storylines.
It is less likely to suit you if your main interest is character comedy, dialogue-heavy storytelling, or a Jar Jar-focused experience.
Editions and collector’s content
The Collector’s Edition on console includes digital Deluxe content, a metal model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, an 80-page art book, pilot patches, and a steel case. These items make it a memorabilia purchase for Star Wars racing fans. Nothing in the official material presents them as Jar Jar collectibles.

For buyers, the choice comes down to format: a console physical edition for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, or the digital PC version on Steam.
