KineMaster supports a main video track with additional layers for items such as images, text, captions, recordings, stickers, and effects. Its interface can change between app releases, so use the current in-app tutorials if a control has moved.
1. Start a project and choose your footage
Open KineMaster, create a project, and import the video clips or images you want to use. Start by deciding what the video needs to show. Remove footage that does not contribute, put the useful shots in a sensible order, and preview the sequence before adding decorations.
KineMaster describes its editor as a full-screen timeline with support for multiple media layers. Exact controls and menu positions can vary by version. From the Create screen, open the app’s video tutorials for guidance that matches your current interface. KineMaster’s feature page says, “We recommend starting with KineMaster’s video tutorials.”
2. Arrange and trim the main clips
Trimming shortens a clip at its beginning or end so the timeline keeps the useful action. Shorten pauses, camera movement, or other material that does not help the sequence. Split or move a clip only when doing so makes the order clearer.

Preview after making changes. Check that one shot leads naturally into the next and that no important action has been cut off. KineMaster’s official beginner video walks through editing and exporting, but its interface demonstration is several years old; treat it as an orientation rather than a guarantee that every control looks the same today.
3. Add titles and overlays
Keep the main footage as the foundation, then add a layer when it contributes useful information or context. KineMaster lists video, images, text, handwriting, captions, voice recordings, stickers, and effects among its layer types.

- Title: Identify the subject or establish context. Keep it readable against the footage.
- Image or video overlay: Add one when it clarifies what the viewer is seeing.
- Captions or handwriting: Use them when they make spoken or visual information easier to follow.
- Stickers and effects: Include them only when they suit the video rather than distracting from it.
If an item appears behind another layer when it should be in front, KineMaster’s multi-layer guidance says to select the layer and change its ordering. The precise control may differ in the current app.
4. Balance narration, music, and sound effects
Treat narration, background music, and sound effects as separate audio elements. KineMaster’s Audio Mixer supports these elements and offers adjustments including volume, pitch, and panning. Make speech easy to hear, keep music from masking it, and use effects only where they help.

KineMaster’s voice recorder records narration to an audio layer using the phone’s built-in microphone or an attached microphone. An external wired lavalier microphone is optional; before buying one, verify that its connector and compatibility match your Android phone. Listen through the edited sequence at the volume you expect people to use, and check for abrupt cuts or distracting level changes.
5. Preview and export the finished video
Before exporting, preview the full project. Check the clip order, confirm that titles are readable, and listen for audio that is too loud, too quiet, or cut off. KineMaster lists export choices across resolution, frame rate, codec, and output bitrate; choose a combination your phone can process and that suits where you plan to share the video.

Device support varies, and some source videos use codec profiles or levels that a device cannot handle. If an export fails or playback is poor, try a lower resolution or frame rate, or a more compatible codec, then preview the result before sharing. KineMaster’s beginner video also demonstrates export choices for resolution, frame rate, and quality; use current in-app tutorials if the controls have changed.

Open the Create screen and look for KineMaster’s video tutorials. The official help recommends those tutorials as the starting point, and they are a better guide to current controls than instructions tied to an older release. Feature availability can depend on the phone’s specifications or paid access, so check what appears in your version of the app rather than assuming every listed feature is available on every device.
