Kindle Click is Amazon’s separate Bluetooth page-turn remote, but Amazon says it works with Kindle models released in 2024 or later—not every Kindle. It differs from clip-on remotes that physically tap the screen and from Amazon’s button-equipped cover, which fits only two named 2026 Signature Edition models. The best choice depends first on your Kindle model and then on whether you want a separate remote or controls attached to the device.

The compatibility and Japan prices come from Amazon Japan’s announcement and Amazon Japan’s press release. TechCrunch reported the US Kindle Click launch price in its October 1, 2026 launch coverage. These are launch figures, not confirmation of current checkout prices.

Will Kindle Click work with your Kindle?
Amazon states that Kindle Click supports Kindle series devices released in 2024 or later. That release-year threshold is the clearest available check; it should not be broadened to include every Kindle with Bluetooth. If you are unsure which generation you own, use Amazon’s Kindle identification guide, which lists model generations and can help distinguish newer devices from legacy ones.
Owners of some older Kindle Oasis models may already have physical page-turn buttons on the reader itself. Amazon’s identification guide notes those button-equipped generations, so an additional remote may not be necessary if the built-in controls meet your needs.

Can any Bluetooth page-turner control a Kindle?
Not on the evidence Amazon provides. Its Bluetooth help page explains pairing supported devices for audio and VoiceView commands, and says pairing a Bluetooth phone, keyboard, or mouse is unsupported. It does not confirm that arbitrary third-party Bluetooth clickers or HID page-turners can turn Kindle pages.
Bluetooth audio support is not proof of Bluetooth page-turn control. Before buying a Bluetooth remote other than Kindle Click, look for documentation that names your specific Kindle model and describes page-turn support. The available Amazon help information does not establish a general compatibility guarantee.

How the physical designs differ
Kindle Click: a separate remote
Kindle Click is a Bluetooth remote intended to pair with a supported Kindle. Amazon describes it as a way to move forward or back a page without picking up the reader. The remote is physically separate from the Kindle, unlike buttons integrated into a cover.

Amazon’s magnetic cover has page-turn buttons built into it. Amazon names only the 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and 2026 Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition as compatible. Do not assume the cover fits other Paperwhite or Colorsoft models simply because their names are similar.

Clip-on remotes: the clip touches the screen
Older-style clip-on page-turners use a physical actuator to touch the display rather than relying on the Kindle’s Bluetooth page-turn support. This is a separate product category, not another name for Kindle Click. Compatibility depends on the individual clip, Kindle model, and how the device is set up; the sources available here do not provide a reliable model-by-model compatibility list.

Amazon Japan announced Kindle Click at ¥5,180, tax included, and its page-turn-button magnetic cover at ¥11,980. Amazon said preorders began October 1, 2026, with shipment expected in mid-November; it also cautioned that release or shipment dates may change. These are Japan-specific announced prices and timing, not global or necessarily current prices.

TechCrunch reported a US launch price of $34.99 for Kindle Click. That is secondary launch reporting, not a verified live Amazon US price. Check the relevant Amazon store for current availability, price, and delivery timing before ordering. The reviewed sources do not establish a dependable current price for clip-on remotes as a category.

Which option should you choose?
- You have a Kindle released in 2024 or later and want a separate remote: Kindle Click is the option with an explicit Amazon compatibility statement for that release window.
- You own one of the two named 2026 Signature Editions and want buttons attached to the reader: compare the button cover, bearing in mind its narrower model compatibility and Japan-announced price.
- You have an older Kindle: check for built-in page buttons, as on some Oasis generations, or investigate clip-on products whose instructions explicitly match your model. Do not assume a generic Bluetooth clicker will work.
- You are considering a Bluetooth remote from another maker: require product-specific evidence of Kindle page-turn support; Bluetooth pairing instructions for audio do not establish it.
