Programs and how their timing works
The cooker treats rice cycles differently from most non-rice functions. White- and brown-rice programs use fixed programmed cycles; their duration is not given in the available booklet details. When either cycle finishes, the cooker automatically switches to keep warm for up to 12 hours.

Delay start
Delay start is available only for white rice, brown rice and porridge. The booklet allows a finish time to be selected up to 24 hours ahead. Use the function only when the ingredients and recipe can be held safely before cooking; the booklet’s listed maximum is a control limit, not food-safety advice.

Care and operating cautions
- Set the cooker on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The booklet warns against placing it directly on a heat-sensitive stone benchtop.
- Use wooden or plastic utensils in the removable non-stick bowl to reduce the risk of scratching it.
- Open the lid with your face and hands away from escaping steam.
- Let the cooker cool before moving it or cleaning its parts.
- If the bowl boils dry during steaming or cooking, the booklet says to add water within three minutes to continue; otherwise, the display will show “Er.”
- If power is interrupted during slow cooking while you are away, the booklet says to discard the food even if it appears cooked.
Buying a discontinued KMC655BSS
Because the model is listed as discontinued, a listing should be assessed as a specific remaining or pre-owned unit rather than assumed to be ordinary current stock. Confirm the model number, condition, included bowl and accessories, seller return terms, and warranty in writing. The sources do not establish an authentic replacement-bowl SKU; buy a bowl only if the manufacturer or retailer explicitly confirms it fits KMC655/KMC655BSS.
CHOICE lists a two-year warranty, but Kambrook says its limited warranty is valid only in the country of purchase. Check the terms for the buyer’s country and purchase date before relying on coverage.
