What the October 2025 safety notice means
Britax Australia’s safety notice, dated 10 October 2025, identifies One2 V2 series RM-S287T and RM-S287T-A. Britax says a small percentage may be missing rivets that could allow the handle to detach, leading to loss of control and a risk of serious injury or death. The Australian recall notice lists sale dates from 1 January 2024 through 6 October 2025. This does not mean every One2 V2 is affected, but an unverified unit should not be treated as safe.

Britax describes the One2 V2 as a travel system that can be used as a single stroller or converted to tandem use. Its main seat changes between a lie-flat bassinet mode and seat mode, so the frame can serve different needs as a child grows or a second child arrives. Britax states the main seat is suitable from birth up to 20 kg, the second seat from birth up to 15 kg, and the bassinet up to 9 kg. The bassinet is 87 cm long and intended for roughly the first six months, or until the child reaches about 9 kg. Britax describes seat mode as suitable to approximately four years, but age is only an estimate: follow the component’s weight limit and the manufacturer’s instructions.

CHOICE’s surfaced listing does not provide its rating, performance scores, or detailed test results without membership. The listing alone therefore cannot support a claim that the One2 V2 performed well or poorly in testing. ProductReview.com.au marks the model discontinued and shows one verified owner review. That reviewer described everyday versatility and rolling positively but noted folded width; a single report is not evidence of broader reliability or customer consensus. For tandem mode, the FAQ lists the second/bottom seat as compatible only with Britax Safe-n-Sound Unity. Do not assume a capsule fits simply because it attaches to the main seat: confirm the exact capsule, adaptor and stroller position with Britax before use.
Included items, accessories and support
Britax lists the frame, convertible main seat and canopy, OEKO-TEX certified bassinet liner, arm bar, harness pads and wheels among the included items. The manufacturer separately identifies accessories and some adaptors as additional purchases, so check the exact regional product listing and package contents rather than relying on a pictured configuration.

Britax lists a Newborn + Toddler Comfort Pack, rain cover for single and tandem use, shade cover, cup holder, and Click & Go adaptors for Maxi-Cosi and Nuna Klik Plus. Its FAQ says Britax Unity adaptors are available through consumer support and directs owners to Britax Customer Support for spare parts. Britax says it has not tested toddler buggy, skate or stand-on-board attachments and does not recommend them.

Before deciding, compare alternative tandem strollers on the same practical criteria: safety notices and repair status; newborn and second-seat configurations and limits; folded dimensions and lifting weight; capsule compatibility and adaptor cost; basket capacity and included accessories; and warranty and spare-parts support. Confirm current availability and price directly with sellers, since the model is marked discontinued in a consumer listing and the CHOICE price is not current-market verification.
