How to join FaceTime on a Samsung tablet
Apple supports browser participation in FaceTime for Android devices. The link must come from someone using an eligible Apple device: an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 15 or later, or a Mac with macOS Monterey or later. Apple says FaceTime links are not supported in mainland China; creating a link is also not supported on iPhone models purchased there. - Ask the Apple-device owner to create a FaceTime link and send it to you.
- Open the link on your Samsung tablet in the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. A strong Wi-Fi or mobile internet connection is needed.
- Enter your name when prompted and allow the browser to use your camera and microphone if you want to be seen and heard.
- Tap Join, then wait for the host to admit you to the call.
If camera or microphone access was previously denied, check the browser’s site permissions for the FaceTime page and allow access before trying again.

Can you start a FaceTime call from a Samsung tablet?
No. The browser option lets an Android user join a call started by an Apple-device user; it does not let the Samsung tablet place an outgoing FaceTime call. Google’s Android guidance describes receiving and joining a FaceTime call in Chrome, not starting one. See Google’s guidance on receiving FaceTime calls on Android.

There is no native FaceTime app for Samsung’s Android tablets. The browser link is the way to participate when an Apple user initiates the call. Apple’s general Android support does not provide a model-by-model compatibility list for Galaxy Tab devices, so it does not establish that every model has been individually tested.
What works—and what does not—in FaceTime on the web
Web participants can use several basic call controls, including muting or unmuting the microphone, turning the camera on or off, switching camera views when available, and viewing participants in a grid. Joining still depends on the host admitting you.

Apple states, “SharePlay and screen sharing aren’t available in FaceTime on the web.” The browser experience therefore does not include every feature of the FaceTime app. Details are in Apple’s FaceTime web guidance.
When Google Meet is a better fit
If you want to start a video call from the Samsung tablet rather than wait for an Apple user to send a FaceTime link, Google Meet is a documented Android option. Google supports Meet on Android 5.0 and later, using the Meet or Gmail mobile app or a supported browser, on a compatible device with internet access. A Google Workspace administrator may need to enable Meet for organizational accounts. See Google Meet’s device and browser requirements.

On Android, you can create and share a meeting link in the Meet app. You can also join a meeting on an Android phone or tablet with a link or meeting code. Google says people can join without a Google account if the host or another participant admits them, although organizer and Workspace settings can limit access.
