The BW offers three more litres overall than the BHC, all in the refrigerator compartment; both list a 138 L freezer. Its manual ice tray is the simpler arrangement if you do not need a dispenser. The product page lists three adjustable glass shelves and two freezer drawers.

Choose the HRF510BHC for chilled water at the door
The BHC’s refillable dispenser does not require a plumbing connection, but its reservoir needs manual refilling. It pairs the dispenser with a manual twist ice maker and bin. The listed layout is two adjustable glass shelves, one freezer drawer and one freezer bin. Haier lists $300 more in reference RRP than for the BW, while the BHC has three litres less total capacity.

Haier lists both variants at 790 mm wide, 707 mm deep and 1725 mm high. These are appliance dimensions, not a complete installation or delivery-clearance specification.

- Measure the route from the entrance to the kitchen: doorways, hallways, stairs, turns and lift openings can be tighter than the final cavity. The listed cabinet dimensions do not establish whether delivery access is possible.

Haier lists a 5.5-star energy rating and 285 kWh/year for both the HRF510BW and HRF510BHC. Treat these as manufacturer-listed figures, not a prediction of a household’s electricity use or bill. To estimate cost from the annual figure, multiply 285 kWh by your electricity tariff in dollars per kWh; actual consumption can vary with use and location.

The manual says its technical parameters are based on standard test results over 24 hours and notes: “Actual energy consumption will depend on how the appliance is used and where it is located”. It also identifies R600a refrigerant. Haier lists frost-free freezer operation, door alarms, humidity-controlled crispers, Super Cooling, Super Freeze and Multi-Zone Air for both variants. Feature names and included fittings should be checked against the suffix on the model being purchased.
What is known about performance and reliability?
CHOICE’s public HRF510B page identifies a 2025 test year and shows a $1,599 price for its tested model, but its Expert Rating and detailed test results are members-only on the page reviewed. That public information does not support a cooling, noise, reliability or overall-performance verdict, and the tested model’s precise suffix is not established here. No independent score is asserted.

Haier lists two years of parts and labour coverage, plus an additional ten years of compressor parts only, for both variants. The additional compressor coverage is not ten years of whole-fridge parts and labour protection. Check the warranty terms supplied with the exact model for applicable conditions.

Verdict: is the Haier HRF510B a good fridge?
On the available specifications, the HRF510B family is a feature-equipped bottom-freezer option with substantial fresh-food capacity and the same listed dimensions and energy figures across both variants. The HRF510BW is the straightforward choice if you prefer a manual ice tray and want the larger stated fridge capacity; the HRF510BHC is the one to consider if a refillable, non-plumbed water dispenser and twist ice maker matter more. These specifications alone cannot establish how well either model cools, how noisy it is, or how reliably it performs over time.
