Is there a secret ending in Hellraiser: Revival?
No. The available ending guides identify two outcomes only, each tied to one of the game’s ending achievements. Earlier collectibles, rituals, and decisions do not open a hidden route or a third finale. AllThingsHow’s ending guide describes the final choice as either remaining in the apartment or entering the wall breach, while VGTimes’ guide likewise reports that there is no secret ending and that previous actions do not change the finale.

That means a supposed “hidden ending” is usually one of three things: the player has not triggered the achievement yet, the final scene was exited before the ending completed, or the player is looking for a third result that the game does not provide. The ending decision is deliberately simple and movement-based rather than a dialogue branch or a puzzle solution.

Where the ending choice occurs
The choice appears after you complete the Ritual of Rebirth. The game then places Aidan in the final apartment scene. A breach opens in the wall and remains available only briefly. Your movement during that window determines the ending:
- Stay in the apartment: do not enter the breach; wait for it to close.
- Enter the breach: move through the opening before it seals.
There is no earlier switch to activate, item to collect, or ritual variation to discover. You do not need a particular completion percentage, collectible set, or dialogue response. Once the Ritual of Rebirth is complete, concentrate on the apartment scene and make the movement choice you want.
The two endings compared

The table describes the mechanical difference, not an official moral ranking. Guides sometimes call one route “good” and the other “bad,” but the game does not establish those labels as canon. Neither outcome reunites Aidan with Sunny.
How to unlock Human After All
1. Reach the Ritual of Rebirth
Play through the story until the Ritual of Rebirth is finished. The ending choice does not occur during the ritual itself; it begins in the apartment scene that follows. If you are planning to earn both achievements, create your replay point before starting the ritual when your difficulty allows a manual save.
2. Watch the apartment scene until the breach appears
After the ritual, let the scene progress until the wall breach opens. This is the only moment that matters for the final branch. Do not assume that a previous decision has already locked your result.
3. Keep Aidan in the apartment
Use no movement that carries Aidan through the opening. Remain on the apartment side and wait while the breach seals. The relevant action is simply staying put; there is no separate confirmation menu.
4. Let the ending and achievement finish
Allow the scene to conclude instead of quitting as soon as the breach closes. When the ending has completed, the game should award Human After All. Returning to the main menu only after the achievement has registered gives you the safest point from which to replay.

How to unlock Experience Beyond Limits
1. Complete the same final ritual
The Cenobite ending uses the identical route through the Ritual of Rebirth. There is no separate quest or collectible requirement for this achievement.
2. Approach the wall breach
When the apartment scene opens the breach, move Aidan toward it. The opening is temporary, so do not wait for it to become a permanent doorway.
3. Cross before it seals
Enter the breach while it is still open. Crossing the threshold changes Aidan into a Cenobite and awards Experience Beyond Limits. If you remain outside until the opening closes, you will receive the human ending instead.
4. Finish the sequence
Keep playing until the ending and achievement have fully triggered. A partial transition or an immediate return to the menu can leave you unsure which result was recorded. Check the achievement notification or your platform’s achievement list before reloading.

How to get both endings in one playthrough
The efficient method is to complete one ending, reload the final pre-ending save, and make the opposite movement choice. The exact method depends on the difficulty setting because save systems differ.
Difficulty settings with autosaves
- Complete the Ritual of Rebirth and play the apartment scene.
- Choose either staying outside the breach or entering it.
- Wait for the ending and achievement to complete.
- Return to the main menu and load the latest autosave.
- Repeat the apartment scene and choose the opposite action.
On these difficulties, the latest autosave is the practical replay point. If loading it places you before the apartment scene, continue forward until the breach appears again; do not start the entire game over.
Hard difficulty
Hard disables autosaves. Do not rely on the post-ending load option to preserve the branch. Make a manual save at the final save point before beginning the Ritual of Rebirth. After earning one achievement, load that manual save, repeat the ritual, and take the other route.

Hellraiser difficulty
Manual saves on Hellraiser difficulty consume Save Tokens. Reserve a token for the final save point before the Ritual of Rebirth. If you spend the available token elsewhere, you may have to replay the preceding section to reach the apartment choice again. Plan the save before the ritual rather than waiting until the breach has opened.
Which ending should you do first?
Either order works. A simple approach is to stay in the apartment first, confirm Human After All, reload the same save, and then enter the breach for Experience Beyond Limits. Reversing the order has no effect on the second achievement. The important part is preserving a save before the final branch and allowing each ending to complete before reloading.
What does not create another ending?
The ending guides agree that the following do not unlock an additional route:
- Earlier collectibles or missed collectibles.
- Choices made before the Ritual of Rebirth.
- Different ritual actions before reaching the apartment.
- Finishing the story on a particular completion percentage.
- Waiting for a different prompt after the breach closes.
Those elements may matter to general progression, but they do not change the two-way finale described above. If you have already completed the ritual, replaying old decisions is unnecessary for the ending achievements.
What each ending means for Aidan
Human After All
Waiting outside leaves Aidan human in the apartment. The breach closes while he remains on the apartment side, and the game awards the achievement with that title.

Crossing the opening takes Aidan into the Cenobite side of the breach and transforms him into a Cenobite. The achievement name reflects that outcome. It is not a concealed post-credits route; it is the second visible result of the final movement decision.
No Sunny reunion
Neither ending reunites Aidan with Sunny. If you are replaying the finale to change that relationship, the two available branches do not provide such an outcome.
“Good” and “bad” are interpretations
Calling the human route “good” or the Cenobite route “bad” is a guide’s interpretation, not an official designation supplied by the game. Choose based on the outcome you want to see or on the achievement you still need.

The achievement did not appear
- Make sure you allowed the ending sequence to finish instead of quitting immediately after moving through or away from the breach.
- Confirm that you crossed the threshold before it sealed for Experience Beyond Limits; approaching the opening is not enough.
- For Human After All, remain in the apartment until the breach has visibly closed.
- Check the platform achievement list after returning to the menu. Notifications can be delayed.
The reload put me in the wrong place
On autosave-enabled difficulties, load the latest autosave from the main menu rather than selecting a new chapter. If the save is positioned just before the apartment scene, replay that short transition and make the opposite choice. On Hard, use the manual save created before the ritual. On Hellraiser difficulty, only a manual save made with a Save Token provides that reliable branch point.
I entered the breach but received the human ending
The timing is the issue. The route requires Aidan to pass through the breach before it seals. Reload the final save and move directly into the opening as soon as it appears. Do not stop at the edge and wait for another prompt.
I waited, but the Cenobite achievement appeared
If Aidan crossed the threshold even briefly, the game can treat that movement as the Cenobite route. Reload the final save and keep Aidan completely on the apartment side until the breach closes.
I finished once without making a save
There is no evidence of a separate secret checkpoint that restores the choice automatically. If your latest save is too far back, replay from that save to the Ritual of Rebirth and reach the apartment again. On Hard and Hellraiser difficulty, the absence of an autosave or an available Save Token can make the second route require a longer replay.
A practical checklist before the finale
- Verify that you are at the final save point before the Ritual of Rebirth.
- On Hard, create a manual save because autosaves are disabled.
- On Hellraiser difficulty, reserve a Save Token for that manual save.
- Decide whether the first run will stay outside or enter the breach.
- Let the chosen ending and achievement complete.
- Return to the main menu and load the preserved save.
- Take the opposite movement action and wait for the second achievement.
Version and evidence context
Hellraiser: Revival is listed by Saber Interactive as releasing on October 8, 2026. Its Steam description calls it “a new chapter in the legendary horror series like never before.” The two-ending structure described here comes from the published ending guides linked above: both identify the same apartment breach choice, the same achievement names, and the absence of a third route. No separate developer statement establishing a secret ending has been identified, so claims about an undiscovered finale should not be treated as an additional in-game outcome.
